The Wooden Reamer is made of solid beechwood, which does not react with acidic fruits, making it last longer and stay stronger. The pointed tip and sharp edges make it easier to begin and continue the juicing process. We do not recommend washing wooden tools in the dishwasher.
Easy-to-use, hand-held Reamer
Juices citrus fruits efficiently
Made of solid beech wood
Natural oil finish
Large, comfortable handle

Fresh Juice Without the Wristache
When life gave me lemons (and limes, and oranges), I knew it was time to find a better way to turn them into lemonadeâor any citrus-based drink, for that matter. Enter the OXO Good Grips Wooden Citrus Reamer. My first impression? Itâs a sturdy, no-nonsense tool that promised to make juicing a breeze without the need for bulky, hard-to-clean electric juicers.Using it is as straightforward as it gets: just twist it into your citrus fruit and watch the juice flow. The handle is comfortable, making it easy to grip and twist without feeling like youâre about to sprain your wrist. It’s a game-changer for anyone who loves fresh juice but hates the hassle (and the wrist strain) that comes with traditional juicers. The only hiccup? You’ll need a strainer handy to catch those pesky pits. But honestly, it’s a small price to pay for fresh juice without the fuss.Overall, the OXO Good Grips Wooden Citrus Reamer is a kitchen essential for citrus lovers. Itâs simple, effective, and makes juicing an easy part of your kitchen routine. Whether youâre a cocktail aficionado looking to add fresh juice into your mixology repertoire or someone who just loves a good glass of lemonade, this tool is for you. Just remember to have a strainer ready, and youâre all set for a fresher, zestier lifestyle.

Efficient extraction…
This citrus reamer is big enough to ream a large orange, yet still able to comfortably ream a lime. It is easy for me to hold, does its job efficiently, and extracts the maximum amount of juice. God forbid the mafia ever uses this reamer for information extraction…

This is Awesome
I had never heard of a reamer before, let alone owned one. We go through a lot of limes and lemons in our house because our FL water tastes gross (even filtered). We normally use those manual hand squeezer style devices, which work fairly well, but can be messy. Also, I have tennis elbow and those squeezers can aggravate this condition. This popped up as a suggestion and I thought I would give it a try, along with ordering another hand squeezer replacement.I am very impressed with this. If you truly want every part of your citrus, this will ensure you keep all the pulp and juice. It does take a little longer than a squeezer and also still takes some arm force. It can be a bit messier, yet in a more predictable manner than the hand squeezer, which will often squirt out a stream in any random direction.I am now alternating between both devices, depending on my mood and the time I have available. Although I am not usually a fan of wood devices since I find cleaning them more annoying, wood holds up well to citrus. It will definitely outlast the metal squeezer (paint chipping/rust). The wood is very high quality and it is such a neat tool, allowing you to get the most out of your citrus. I am a pulp fan and this reamer maximizes your ability to get it all. If you do not like pulp, you could use it in conjunction with a strainer.

Sturdy; best design available.
This is probably among the best of its kind but Iâm not crazy about the category when it comes to actually using them. From appearances they all appear to be the same. The diameter of the reaming end is so small, and its âpointinessâ so long and narrow, that it only fully fits into key limes. Any other citrus and you have to maneuver it around a lot in the pulp, which is hard on the hands and not the best way to extract all the juice. I find myself squeezing the remainder of the fruits every time, and after one or two fruits my hands are sore. Also, the point at the tip is needlessly sharp and actually a bit of a hazard for poke-through on thin skinned fruits. Thatâs easily enough fixed by gently rubbing it against fine sand paper. Or banging it angrily when your significant other is being annoying (âpercussive maintenanceâ â the act of hitting something when itâs stopped working). That said, hereâs why I like this one better than the rest:1. The ribs are deeper than most and their edges are sharper. That makes it a beast on the pulp it gets to.2. Because the handle is fatter, you have a better ability to apply the rotation force (torque, for the nerds) necessary. A slimmer handle is even more fatiguing on the hands. I have an injury to my hands that makes it most important to me but the principle applies for anyone.3. The wood is nicely finished â smoothly sanded. Which makes it less likely to pick up fine pulp debris shards and easier to clean.4. It may be a simple device but this one is really sturdy. I wonât ever need to buy another, unless my irritation has me hammering with it, but that would be on me, not Oxo (see âpercussive maintenance above â it works on most things …or makes me feel better, at least.).All around a pretty nice gadget, though I wish theyâd make it with a fatter, less pointy reamer.Oh, be sure to follow the directions that come with it and oil it well with a neutral cooking oil. I found I needed to reapply two more times, as it wicks in a bit. Still, though, it doesnât feel greasy.

Very good replacement for plastic citrus juicers. The taste of the juice itself changed after using this reamer. I believe its worth the price, especially when you and your kids are drinking citrus juice daily. Its a must have at all homes. The entire reamer is made from single block of wood, no polishing or varnishes, simply the way a kitchen item should be.

For a simple wooden product itâs pricey. But it does get the job done and easier to clean than other juicers. Have used it a lot and it works really well

The simpler, the better. Das ist Leben. I tried every lemon juicer, electric or not, of the galaxy and this “dorje-like” does the job simply, easily, effectively, quickly. Don’t hope to find a better tool.
