Never lose your flashlight again!
I own the Streamlight Microstream, the Olight Seeker 4, and now this Olight Mini 2. They all have their perks but for an EDC, this one is my favorite. I keep my flashlights as handy as possible, but it feels like every time I need one, theyâre on the other side of the building or in a different bag. Theyâre small, but not small enough that I want to keep it in my pocket all the time. I normally wear FR jeans and an FR Henley, so I donât have a place to clip a flashlight, and as a curvy woman, I donât wanna have bulky pockets. All I typically carry in my pocket is some cash and a pocket knife. Another problem I have with almost all of my possessions is that Iâll use something and then set it down and then the next time I need it I forgot where the heck I put it. The Mini 2 solves this problem for me. The way this flashlight works is while itâs attached to the magnet, itâs off. In order to use it all you have to do is detach it from the magnet and it turns on. In order to turn it off you must reattach it to the magnet. By attaching the magnet to my belt loop with the included carabiner style hook (itâs meant to be a keychain), I never lose this thing. itâs ironic because itâs so tiny that you would think it would be easy to lose. But nope! itâs always on my hip when I need it, and I never forget to reattach it because thatâs how you turn it off! It has earned a spot as a nightly charge, and I grab it every morning along with my pocket knife. No, it doesnât have the brightness of my other two flashlights but itâs just fine for my needs. If I need more brightness, Iâll fetch my Seeker 4.For less than 15 bucks, you really canât go wrong with this one.

Convient flashlight that doesn’t get lost in the pockets and doesn’t require all the button pushing!
Excellent flashlight! it has two parts, the charger with the usb plug and the flashlight which goes onto/in the end. the two pieces are held together with magnets, which allows for a super easy light saber quick type draw if the unit is hung from the belt. It’s built in such a way that the light part will not come off accidentally. I tried and failed to flick the light off and tried to push the light off with just my thumb and it will not accidentally come off under any kind of normal activities while hanging off a belt. it’s quite bright considering how tiny the unit it. it has no buttons whatever and comes on when pulled from the charger part and is turned off by reconnecting the two. They reconnect with extreme ease as the way the charger part is built and the two magnets just pull them together. it’s easy to snap them together without looking. The carabiner that comes with it is designed to hook on a key chain so needs an additional and not included part (like another carabiner) to hook it to the belt loop. a double ended carabiner would have been better.as it has no buttons, it’s on or it’s off. there is no pressing the button 2 to 6 times to get it all the way on (a GOOD thing!)With its quick draw capability and its small size, a most excellent flashlight!

Awesome design, great little light for the price
Really convenient little flashlight. I’m a minimalist when it comes to my keys â I’ve been adamant for years about only putting my car fob and house key on a small s-biner. That’s it. So this thing needed to prove itself during the probationary period I imposed on it if it was going to earn a permanent spot :)Prove itself it did, and quickly. Not a day after I put it on my keyring, I found myself walking back to my car down a dark street with no sidewalks in all black clothing and loaded down with gear (I’m not normally stupid, I was just an orchestral musician in concert dress not expecting to have to park where I did). The convenience of this light was so much better than having to set everything down and dig out my phone, and then juggle that phablet flashlight along with everything else I was carrying â i just yanked the Olight off my keyring (which turns the light on), and not only was I able to carry it easily to keep sure footing on uneven grass, oncoming cars saw the light and slowed down. It’s not the brightest thing ever and doesn’t throw light far, but that’s just the trade-off given its size and very nice price point. The USB piece sticking out annoyed me until I actually attached it to my keyring â then I realized how smart the design of that is, since you’d need some sort of ring to fasten it anyway, and this has far more utility. It also makes it easy to charge while you’re driving â no cord to leave at home. The magnet is also convenient.

Have I reached peek adulthood with the joy I feel about a flashlight? Maybe.
There are tons of flashlights out there and it’s easy to say “yeah I don’t know, it’s just a flashlight, I don’t remember the brand”.This one has been different.I fully expected the USB end to be flimsy, break off, or fail within…a week? 5 months later it’s still sturdy after hanging from a belt loop with the rest of my keys. And it still charges! (Excellent battery life by the way)”300 lumens isn’t that big of a deal, but it’ll be fine, I just need it to be as bright asy phone’s flashlight so I don’t have to use that anymore”. Another thought I had. Uh, yeah its far better than my phone light. Maybe it’s the lens, the led, I don’t know, but it’s another plus.”Wait it’s held on by a magnet? It doesn’t screw in? I’m going to lose this fast” this magnet is super strong and very handyShort story: I work with an older lady that comes to our shared workspace every so often. She has trouble seeing so when she comes in she turns on the room’s 10 overhead lights because the lamps aren’t good enough. Last week I stuck this light magnetically to the HVAC vent above her desk and she loved and decided not to blind the rest of us.I have gotten 2 of my bosses, another coworker, my dad, and 2 friends to purchase 3 of these each AND I have purchased 2 myself. That’s just this one product. $13 keychain flashlight. I genuinely look forward to buying more products from Olight.

I use this light everyday. My keychain always hangs from my belt loop when I am at work, and this flashlight hangs off of my keychain. Anytime I need to stick my head in a machine at work, after a couple of months. My hand automatically goes right to the flashlight. If you have a ton of stuff on your keychain it might take a second to find it. But you get used to it after a while. The flashlight turns on as soon as it disconnects from the magnet on the keychain holder, which makes it super convenient and fast when you need light in a pinch. The magnet on the bottom of the flashlight makes it super easy to Mount on metallic surfaces when you need to work with two hands. When you no longer need the light, with one hand you can put the flashlight back on it keychain holder. Once the flashlight is relatively close to the holder, the strong magnets attract to each other and will automatically align the flashlight to the keychain holder. I have been using it everyday for a couple of months and I no longer need to look at my keychain to put the flashlight away or to take it out.If you only need it for a second to light up an area you can just pull on it lightly without completely taking it off the keychain, there’s some kind of resistance that prevents you from removing it unless you pull relatively hard. It seems that there are two engineered positions when removing it from the holderFor its size, it’s very bright, and does. Does a pretty good job at at lighting up the area. I wish it was a little bit of a wider beam, but maybe that’ll be an option in a later iteration.I’m not sure how long it lasts, but I’m assuming a few hours on one full charge. I only ever need to use it for a minute or two at a time.Overall I give it five stars, it’s something that I use everyday and something that I will replace when it wears out or breaks. Very useful and smart design. I think this flashlight is an instant classic everyday carry device. Would recommend to pretty much anybody.

This is an amazing little flashlight, it’s very weighted for its size which I find very satisfying as well as the snap into the strong magnet feels very high quality. It functions perfectly and is very bright. I use it for work in low light environments and is very convenient to have on hand.

This thing is cool. Sturdy construction. When the light is removed from the charging base it turns on. The magnet that keeps the light attached to the charging base is pretty strong so you should never lose this light accidentally and if it does fall off it will light up and be easier to find. Great little light for keychains or backpacks.
