The Ergodyne ProFlex 100 Economy Spandex Back Support is designed to remind workers of proper lifting techniques while also enhancing the body’s intra-abdominal pressure, moving the stress away from the spine for back pain relief. Features rubber track webbing to help keep support in position. SIZING To choose your size, use flexible measuring tape and find the circumference around your body at your belly button. The support should fit snugly around your hips with the front of the support two-fingers width below your navel. An easy-to-use hook & loop closure keeps the belt securely fastened while in use and can be worn over or underneath clothing. Adjust the suspenders straps to fit securely on your shoulders without causing tension. Turn it into a back support belt by simply detaching the shoulder straps from the belt. Hubby works in construction. Says to me “Hey honey, go on Amazon and buy me a newSupport Brace for my back, please”. His wish is my command and Amazon helped mecomplete the order in two days with Prime. Yay.The brace is very well made, sturdy with Velcro closing with extra adjustable Velcro flapsthat cover the underlying brace. Very helpful in getting the correct fit.It is very neat looking and fits well under clothing, hardly detectable, if you need it to be.It also comes with adjustable suspenders that can also be removed if desired.My husband said it was perfect, very good fit, helped with pain in back and supportive.My husband has a 36′ waist and we ordered the L and it fit great.Highly recommend. Good price too.

Great Support
Bought it for my Father-in-Law and had an occasion to use it. Great belt. Love that it is super wide to help wrap up my whole back and not just my waist. I am almost 300 lbs. and it fits great. Velcro holding up fine. Has tabs that hold stretch appendage in place. You can take off the harness. Going to buy another one for me.

ALMOST Perfect Quality…
I was pretty convinced when I looked at the reviews, researched the company and saw the way in which this support was designed. Here are the pro’s and con’s:Pro’s1 – It IS comfortable (depending on the size that you get). I got 4x, and it was a good choice overall.2 – It doesn’t seem to slip too much, as long as you keep it tight enough (and especially with the shoulder straps).3 – I like how the shoulder straps are REMOVABLE if you do not require them. So this actually comes as a two in one support.Con’s1 – The craftsmanship is slightly faulty at some points, BUT, this could merely be my own doing as I kept trying to wear my phone on an otter box UNDER the brace while I work. It tore some of the material (not horribly, but nevertheless, in under 2 days it did this). I was disappointed, but remembered that I can hand sew as well, so no real worries.Overall, GREAT product and well worth the price for what you are getting. I have gone through a few other braces and this one has held up the best in the conditions I work with. I hope it continues!

Great Product
I bought this belt to use daily for residential construction work. Its comfortable allowing you to bend at the waist, sit down, or get down on your knees when working on the floor. I even wear it when I drive. Its very adjustable in how snug you make it because of the secondary side flaps, so you can always loosen it quickly if you need to. Sturdy in its manufacture and is in like new condition after 4 years of use. I suspect it will last for decades at this rate. [This is a WAY, WAY better quality belt than what is sold for $15 bucks at the big box home stores.] It provides as much support as you can get without wearing a weightlifting type (leather belt) instead, and those types of belts are far too uncomfortable to be worn all day because they really dig into your sides and hips. The XL was true to fit – I have a 38″ waist and it looks like the belt has enough adjustability left to fit down to a 37″ waist. Be sure to measure around your waist at, or maybe 1″ below your bellybutton. DO NOT order these types of belts based on your underwear waistband size or the belt will be too small!!!! NOTE ON GETTING ADDED SUPPORT: A little trick I use is to wear a leather weightlifting type belt over this one for super support when I have something especially heavy to lift, like an appliance or unloading a truck full of 90lb cement bags or 3/4″ plywood by hand. With the Proflex belt under it, you can wear a weightlifting belt much more comfortably, and the weightlifting belt prevents any give whatsoever which gives you that mega support to protect your back. But the majority of the time, for routine work like carrying tools, and supplies up to say 60lbs, I just wear this Proflex belt by itself.

Back support all day
I wear the brace without the straps. I would, however, recommend NOT wearing it against your skin as it has 6 plastic stays with rough bumps on each. The stays help hold the belt in place over clothes as thin as a tee shirt with no discomfort.I have difficulty standing more than 5 minutes these days without having to sit for a minute or 2, which makes shopping, doing housework, walking around the yard, etc time consuming. With this brace I can go anywhere and do most things. I also bought a rolling walker with flip seat and hand brakes so now I no longer have to use those electric shopping carts you sit on. The brace allows me to walk longer and the walker lets me sit a minute or two. Now I have my life back again.

Proper fit may be the difference in results!
I had the 3XL first which seemed like it supported better but was bulky like it was too big, so I exchanged for the 2XL. The product looks very well made and of good quality. Fit comfortably but the 2XL did not seem to give as much support as I needed. This could a sizing issue but there is no size chart to gauge the proper fit. Unfortunately the Vel-Cro on one of the support straps stopped staying secure as well. Could have been just a one off issue. I would recommend giving it a try and judge for yourself.
