Well-made and the most supportive of all brands that I’ve tried, so I highly recommend it.
I ordered a TLSO brace, but shipping was going to take too long, so I ordered this to try in the interim. I suffered a compression fracture of my T5, which healed wrong, causing a deformity and also taking 2″ off my anterior height. It’s very painful for me to both stand and walk, and often to even sit, so I had to have something. This isn’t quite supportive enough for MY injury, but it does help quite a bit and is the most supportive of any other brand of this type that I’ve tried. Most thoracic fractures are T12 or lower, so my T5 fracture is very uncommon. Thus, I don’t think there’s anything negative about this brace at all. As I said, it’s the best of any brand I’ve tried, and I think it’s because it has two long metal strips going down the back and two shorter ones along the sides, offering much more support. That may make it sound uncomfortable, but it amazingly isn’t at all. It also doesn’t require someone else to help you put it on after it’s been adjusted to your personal fit either, which most rigid TLSO braces do. I think Fit Geno put a lot more thought into the design of this brace than other companies. Most just have thicker material or magnets and neither type was of benefit to me. I had to walk a good distance from street parking on another block to my doctor and PT appointments just a few days ago. Normally, I would’ve been in terrible pain before even getting there, but this brace made a huge difference. Normally, I wouldn’t be able to sit in a regular chair afterward either because the pain would be so bad that I had to lie down, but my pain was greatly reduced and made it possible to sit without the pain becoming any worse. This brace is pretty decent for me, so it may be perfect for people with different injuries. If your injury is farther down than the T5, since that is not common at all, this may work just fine for you. I’d recommend giving it a shot, as it is much less expensive than the rigid TLSO braces, and much more comfortable, too! This isn’t labeled as a TLSO brace, so I’m not trying to say that it is. I’m just saying that it’s a pretty good substitute for one, and you may not even require that type of brace, so I would recommend it over any other brands that are labeled to do the same as this one. My injury is very uncommon in its location and not correctable since it healed wrong. If those two things don’t apply to you, then save yourself the time and trouble of ordering and having to return the wrong brace and just order this brace, period. Good luck. I hope this was helpful.

Make sure you measure yourself!
Update: Yes, the smaller size fits much better and feels more comfortable. Iâll still stick by my original saying that you need to measure because it is more accurate sizing that way! And even if you were on the higher end of the smaller size, I would still go for the smaller size.Also, I do feel like itâs helping my posture so far I have only wearing it for about 45 minutes to an hour per day as recommended at first, and then it says you can increase the time you wear it. You donât want your body to depend on it, you just want it to help you.I think I just bought the wrong size. I normally do not measure. I just go by what my normal sizes are. But you definitely need to measure! I will update my review when I get my new size. But it was kind of uncomfortable and Iâm pretty sure I was sent previously returned item. Hopefully the better size will fit better and feel more uncomfortable.

Well made Back Brace and Posture Corrector Easy to Wear
I am impressed with this posture corrector and back support brace. I was concerned it might not be substantial enough to help me or would not be what I needed but if my first try out is an answer then this is an answer I have been waiting a long time for. Just wished I had saved the wait and looked on Amazon earlier. This back brace and posture corrector is made very well and appears quite durable. I am not good at putting stuff together but this was easy even for me. I have had numerous back fractures due to extreme bone loss and had multiple surgeries which helped each time for short term. I have scoliosis and neuropathy. One of the most challenging issues is my curved shoulders and inability to stand up straight without pain and fatigue that knocks you down and looking for a chair or bed. I had a brace made by a hospital orthopedic unit but I cannot put it on by myself or take it off. It was impossible to sit down or use the restroom without taking brace off. Thankfully this brace I found on Amazon is a whole different ballgame for my future and independence. I put it together and put it on correctly all by myself and kept it on for just under an hour so not to push too hard at first try. I am so looking forward to seeing the improvement I feel I might be able to make wearing this brace and the freedom from some of the pain and disability I have lived with for these past few years. Thanks Amazon for offering this product and the maker for putting out a good well made product that may give me a new outlook and hope for a future with less pain, better posture and more independence. Hereâs to hope and belief in better days ahead!

It’s an adequate brace but nothing special
I had high hopes for this Geno thoracic brace, but Iâm somewhat disappointed with its performance. After reading the description and reviews, I believed the brace would correct slouching when using a computer by inhibiting it, but thatâs not the case. The brace reminds me Iâm wearing one because itâs uncomfortable around my shoulders and midsection. That’s not the same as correcting posture. Itâs also not as easy to use as I thought, as I must undo all four strap adjustments when taking it off to have any hope of putting it back on. The Geno brace does seem durable, so Iâll give it that.

I initially purchased the wrong size and sent it back, and subsequently ordered a size larger. I’m very tall, so even though the size I ordered was correct according to the sizing chart, the brace just rode too high on my torso and didn’t support my lower back. My new order surprisingly arrived the next day. Overall, the quality of the product seems good. I’ve been using the back brace for over a couple of weeks, increasing my time with the brace every day. I do a lot of computing, both sitting and standing at my desk, and the back brace not only gives me support, but encourages better posture. I’ve also noticed that my back is more ârelaxedâ when I go to bed at night, so it seems to be working for me.
