THIS is the cookbook I’ve been waiting for!
Just received the book, and I cannot keep pouring over it. I love Suzy Karadsheh’s website. It’s packed with not only what to do, but what to stock, and how to cook Mediterranean dishes. This cookbook is amazing. The recipes are simple, with few and carefully chosen ingredients. I have Buettner’s Blue Zones books (and I love them), but many recipes are more involved and numerous, and some ingredients aren’t easy to find. Karedsheh has solved my dilemma. The spices she uses are affordable and sold at her site. The dishes are simple, healthy, and the instructions are clear. Meals can easily be made for busy weeknights and lunch packable. Photos are gorgeous and inspiring. I practice many aspects of Ayurveda, and between that, the Blue Zones, and Karadsheh, I now have health tools I wish I’d had years ago. I do have the Greek EVOOs from her site, and they’re so good that they are game changers. Get this cookbook. Combined with plant-based foods, good ingredients, aĺl cooked with mindfulness and love, you can’t go wrong.

HOLY SMOKES!
I have bought so many cookbooks over the years and Iâm almost always disappointed. I have made 7 or 8 recipes from this cookbook so far and each of them have knocked my socks off. They are so flavorful! Plus, theyâre all fairly healthy, so it can be used for everyday cooking. The photographs are lovely, too. The only ânegativeâ (if you can really call it that) is that there are a bunch of recipes without pictures. Regardless, Iâve been recommending this book to everyone I know. Worth. Every. Penny.

Mostly Egyptian recipes, vibrant food photos
I think a sign of a good cookbook is if when you are looking thru it you immediately see a ton of recipes you want to make. To me this book falls into that category. You can’t help but notice the vibrant eye catching colorful photos. I enjoyed reading the authors touching tribute to her father and the positive influence he had on her in regards to learning how to cook. I have made about 5 or so recipes from this book but will definitely try more. The first I had to try was the frothy mint limonada. Let me tell you that drink was amazing. It was so refreshing that I try to make it several times a week. The roasted bell pepper boats were delicious. The combo of the orzo, peppers and basil vinaigrette was one of the healthiest lunches I ever made. My father who is from Italy gobbled it up. And I can’t forget that glorious orange cardamom olive oil cake. It was so good. Thanks to her wonderful easy to follow directions it came out perfect and I am not a good baker. The reason I did not give this book 5 stars is many of the recipes appear to be time consuming, some you need to make 2 other recipes to complete the recipe you are making. If you are not a fan of cooking with olive oil, mint, or looking to purchase middle eastern spices this book might not work for you. Many of the recipes I would never make like lobster, etc. It would have been nice to see more Italian, Greek recipes. It seems to be mostly Egyptian dishes. There is no nutritional content and not every recipe has a photo. I really do like this cook book though and it will challenge me in the kitchen.

Game Changer – I LOVE this book
I love to cook so when my husband was dignosed with NASH I was pretty sad it meant a major change in our diet and had no idea how to cook that way. Chat GPT recommend this book to me for someone with NASH. I’m not going to lie when I got it and was trying to make my first meal plan I nearly cried. I don’t like fish, I don’t like olives, how the heck was I goting to get full, or my blue collar husband full, on so many vegetables. I didn’t want to make a single thing in there. So I just randomly picked reipes from each chapter out of spite. I kid you not not, I modify every recipe I have ever touched, and everything I have made out of this book has been incredible just the way she writes the recipes. The food is so flavorful, so good, so filling. And guess what I do like fish, I was just eating terrible fish before. Been cooking out of this book for a month now and I cannot sing the praises of this book high enough. And as a side effect my husband and I are both loosing weight! That said even if you don’t need a lifestyle change I would have cooked and eaten these recipes. I recommend to anyone not just those needing a chanage for their health. The food is that good. Thank you, thank you thank you for this incredible collection of recipes making a very difficult lifestyle change much easier for me and my family.

It’s the year of Mediterranean food and I’m here for it.
I buy lots of cookbooks, but this is hands-down one of the best. The recipes are easy to make, use easy to find ingredients and are healthy. They can be adapted to suit your needs. This is a keeper and would make a great gift for your friends that like full flavored, delicious meals.

Great recipes, simple to make, never had a bum one yet.
Iâve been following Suzie for years on YouTube, have made a ton of her recipes. Not once! (Even fish which I am NOT good at), has it not been good. If you want to make Mediterranean food, I highly recommend this book. (And her YouTube channel). Theyâre simple to make and authentic, I can vouch for that, I married a Mediterranean guy. I was looking for a book for my son for Christmas, who has moved out and wants to eat healthier and I clicked so fast on this. He always liked her recipes growing up, so perfect! Way to go, Suzie! Your book is beautiful.

I have made several recipes from this book now. My family has loved each and every one I have made. The ingredients are easy to find at the large grocery stores. The recipes are easy to follow. The orange cardamom and olive oil cake is heaven and the sweet potatoes with tahini and honey are my new favourite way to eat potatoes! My family is crazy for the asparagus! Many of the recipes can be made in larger batches to be kept to use in other recipes or to use in other ways.I very much recommend this book!
