They come in a pretty covered tin, theyâre bigger than Iâd expected, & the scent is pleasant
This 2 pack of 22oz mosquito repelling candles are impressive, each with four wicks and housed in a beautiful tin with raised lettering. These tins also have covers on them for added protection from the elements just in case I leave them outside during bad weather which is a really nice feature. Theyâre DEET-free & made with natural essential oils like citronella, peppermint, and lemongrass, giving them a pleasant scent.Since mosquito season hasnât hit yet where I live (just some gnats so far) I canât confirm how well they repel mosquitoes, but Iâm eager to test them once summer kicks in! Mosquitoes love me and my son (but they completely ignore my daughter and my fiancé for whatever reason ð), so I rely on multiple methods to repel them, and candles are a key part of my tactical plan each summer. For the time being, Iâm giving them 5 stars for their high quality, large size, attractive design, and great smell. Iâll update this review later with details on their mosquito-repelling effectiveness. ðâï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ 5 STARS!! âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Works for small areas
Seems to work for a small circle. You will need several of them for any type of larger space.

Not a cheap dollar store candle
This candle is quality through and through. From the huge size and cute tin to the multiple wicks and mild smell. I hesitated getting it, but when it arrived i could tell it was worth the price. You’ll need more than one if you have a large entertaining area. For my husband and i, who sit outside in the evening, its perfect to keep the pests away.

Didn’t Make Us Sneeze
We love sitting outdoors when the weather improves, but mosquitoes will chase my family indoors. Another reason my family runs inside is because of mosquito-repelling candles that trigger asthma. The Cliganic Natural Mosquito Repellent candle did not trigger daughter’s asthma!!! Yippee!!!The candle contains essential oils like peppermint, rosemary, citronella, lemongrass, and cedarwood. It does not contain eucalyptus, which immediately triggers my daughter’s asthma. This is a HUGE WIN for my family. Finding any candle that keeps the skeeters away is tough, but it is tougher when scent becomes an issue. The tin is well made, and the candle is heavy enough not to get blown over on a windy day. My asthma doesn’t get trigger either!I could not be happier with this candleâit smells nice and works hard to protect my family. That’s win-win for me.

Smells Great
I live in the North so the bugs really aren’t out yet here so I can’t give it a proper test, but I can tell you what I like.Pros:- Large size- 4 wicks for maximum scent being released- It actually smells terrific. Not like those disgusting citronella candles.- packs away nicely with a secure lid.Cons:- None

Refined but expensive
The presentation of these candles suggests quiet quality. As soon as you break open the plastic wrapper a pleasant odor escapes that seems right for the jobâthe wax contains an unstinting 5% essential oil by weight, and apparently mosquitoes do not like aroma therapy. The sharp yet subdued printing on the box and the can was no accident either, and carries the same understated suggestion of quality.I’m confident if you buy these candles to create a tasteful ambience that you will not be disappointed, but it’s too early in the season to confirm how well this will work with the contrarian tastes of mosquitoes: I wouldn’t use them as my only line of defense and expect perfect results. You could mass them and burn all the wicks at once for a gathering, but now we are talking significant expense. Actually we’re talking significant expense even for one:If you get 18 hours from each candle, that’s throwing $3â5 in the pot each night to sit outside for 2â3 hours. As an alternative I’d be OK with a few bits worth of DEET for effect, and a few citronella incense sticks for ambience. Regular use of these stylish but spendthrift candles is almost literally burning money.

Nice candles
Itâs not really skeeter season here yet but what I will say is that this is a pleasant smelling candle. I can pick up some citronella in it but it is not overpowering. Definitely picks up the other skeeter scaring scents.

Excellent all natural mosquito repellent!! DEET FREE!!
So granted we are not in the middle of summer just yet, and not in the heart of mosquito season, but we do have a lot of bugs already coming out and I have noticed with this candle on our front porch we are not seeing any activity at all near the area that we sit.I will say I love the very faint scent that this candle gives off, Iâve always been a fan of that situation smell, and this scandal is no different. Itâs a calming and annoyance free smell. I will also say that so far the candle seems to burn very slow so I would say the 18 hours that they claim this will burn for is fairly accurate maybe a few hours less, but either way they burn quite long.I donât have months of packing at this point, but in a few weeks that I do have I can say this is a great candle!
