High quality candles for outdoor use
These Cliganic Natural Mosquito Repellent Candles are great for outdoor season. Unfortunately my deck does not have a cover or screen, so sitting outside in warm weather sometimes can be tricky, and you get eaten alive. I have found that the two best defenses are candles such as this, along with a fan that creates a breeze.These candles are nice quality, all-natural candles made from bees wax and soy and natural oils. They include all the ‘right’ oils to help deter insects. The double wicks will help them burn evenly and not hollow out (or tunnel) as they burn. They do smell very strong, but I like to put these on the perimeter rails of the deck. They might be a bit too strong to sit right next to, but the smoke and off-gassing from them should be a great deterrent.The jars are very attractively designed, and close easily for storing. The description says they burn 18 hours, but the candles themselves say they burn 55 hours. I’ve not been able to use them enough to know for sure. And they are a bit pricey for candles, but worth it since they are plant-based and all natural. Highly recommended!

Decent strentgh. I appreciate they are Deet free. Like all candle based bug repellants, wont work with any wind. The wicks hold a decent flame. I question the 55 hour burn time

Keeps the skeeters away and feels like they used good quality was, the scent is perfect for the outdoors, inside, you might want to only have it on for a little bit because the scent gets to scenting, if you know what I mean.

Smells wonderful
This candle smells so wonderful. I keep it at my bedside to light as needed. The smell is so light and very pleasant. It smells like citronella attracting bugs to itself. It is very functional and in a tin allowing it to move freely from place to place.

Great natural alternative to the nasty chemicals from other solutions
I live in the PNW, where the mosquitoes can be quite the nuisance, buzzing around in relentless swarms. My wife and I love to retreat to our patio in the evening, seeking peace under the stars after a long day. We both enjoy the low light of candles, finding their soft glow much more inviting than the annoyance of tiki torches or other chemical alternatives. You have to love the natural aspect of this candle. Instead of those chemicals, they use essential oils. This candle, perfectly sized for our outdoor table, adds a soft illumination and lets out a delicate scent. Sometimes, these candles can give off a medicinal smell, but thankfully, this one doesn’t. As the temperature gets more comfortable, I’m eager to see how effectively it keeps the mosquitoes away.

Candle Keeps Bugs Away
I used the Mosquito Repellent Candle during a backyard BBQ, and it worked great. The citronella scent is strong but not overpowering, and it kept mosquitoes at bay for hours. The 16oz size is hefty, and it burned cleanly for a long evening. Love that itâs DEET-free and uses essential oils. Perfect for camping or outdoor hangouts. Iâd buy it again!

Nice Extra-Large Candles for Patio
These candles are made of a blend of soy and bee’s wax and scented with natural oils. They don’t appear to work as well as mosquito incense sticks, but I live in the woods and have a swamp on the property, so I do have more of a mosquito problem than the average suburban yard. While mosquitoes are repelled by smoke and some essential oils, do keep in mind that they are attracted to carbon dioxide â I’m going to try using these candles with my candle warmer to see if they perform better than when they’re burning.UPDATE: I do think that the candle works better as a repellant went used with a candle warmer, but since this candle is so large, it takes a long time for my bottom-heating candle warmer to get enough wax melted to release the essential oils. If you have a heat-lamp style candle warmer, I believe it will work better.
