So bright.
This is so worth the buy. Since the sun has been setting earlier these days, we still wanted to go on bike rides after work. I love that it has different setting on the light – steady, fast blinking, slow blinking. Itâs really bright as well. It lights up our path and cars are able to see us coming. they did not come with batteries so youâll need AAA and AA. They are adjustable straps to attach to your bike. I put it on my sons power wheels as well and itâs great. Very functional and small size but so strong and bright. Worth every penny!

Doesn’t suck up batteries
Great lights. Work well and don’t go through a lot of batteries..

A must for biking at night
Likes:-Easy to setup and attach to bike-Multiple adjustment fittings depending on the width of your bike frame components-Bright noticeable lights with different flashing patterns or constant beam-LED’s, saves the battery-Good price in-case they brake or get stolenImprovement Suggestions:-A little too many batteries for an LED light “6 triple A’s” Some time of power mgt option-The back light will not click into its mounting bracket on mine. I tried multiple times and the tab is just not pronounced enough for it to stay. I fear it might shake loose and fall out of the bracket. It needed a better design for the back light…not sure if anyone has had that issue either-I would like to see the button for on/off/pattern be a little larger and easier to push…especially the red lightOverall:I purchased these because at this time of the year I find myself riding when its dark and I want to make sure i’m seen. It’s a small investment to pay to hopefully keep you out of dangers way. I included some pictures on my Schwinn to give you a better idea. The front light is not really going to give you anymore visibility, so don’t think of it as a headlight…its just a safety light if anything. Its brightness will make you noticeable to cars. The rear light will look like a taillight for you. Both lights can blink at different rates and the rear light can scroll too. I hope this helps you make your decision!

For the price it’s a no brainer – detachable mount very useful
Safety wise, for children bike lights are a must. If I had my way I’d send my kids out with Tron outfits on – just too many idiots playing with their mobile phones on the roads.Firstly loved the price – with the lightning deal I picked this set up for 6.10 plus tax – that is soundly in the “worth a chance,….what do you have to lose?” territory. So even though I bought this some time ago, I only yesterday mounted it on my child’s bike, along with a Vont Pyro USB rechargeable light I had just bought that I mounted for my other child’s bike. They’re both sub 10 years old and really traveling far on bike so getting lights on bikes is the no brainer necessary thing to do. Part of my commentary comes from a comparison between this and the vont pyro.Mounting SystemThe biggest item for me is the mounting system. The BV bike set has mounts that can be fixed in place and the lights can be clipped on or off pretty simply. It’s true that the front light takes a little fidding to remove the light from the mount, but once you do so, it’s a defacto torch (RoW English name for flashlight). My youngsters would have a little trouble mounting / demounting – there’s a reason I gave this to the eldest. So it’s very capable – leave the mounts in place, and if it’s really dark you have a torch to illuminate your path up the driveway. The mounts are sufficient for my needs – sure they’re plastic and seem ok but if I were a competitive mountain biker, you’ll need something more rugged mount wise.By comparison the Pyro lights have rubber band like connectors that wrap around your handlebar and seatpost. MUCH more difficult to put on and off and here’s the kicker – you need to do this often because there is no separate mount – the pyro lights are effectively LED lights with a clip at the back and the rubber band goes under that clip. Not at all child friendly but some nice bright lights once on and USB recharegeable.BatteriesBack to the BV lights – they’re not rechargeable – in the front you have a pack of 4x AAA (aka “triple A”) batteries. In the back you have 2x AAA. You could argue that I could use rechargeable AAA batteries with the lights, and I would if it were for me, but my children LOSE EVERYTHING – rechargeable batteries are not cheap. So the Pyro wins out there.Light IntensityCompared with the Pyro the FRONT LIGHT of the BV is easily brighter. The pyro is good enough but seriously the BV is enough to burn your retina out (“It burns! It burns!”) – again reinforcing its use as a torch when you get to your destination.Flip to the rear light though and the Pyro is slightly, only slightly brighter than the BV but the pyro is also I think wider with 3 separate lenses making it more visible. Not much in it though.Overall value: At the price I paid ( $6.10 plus tax) I think it’s a great deal. The front torch dual use is of real value and the much easier ability to mount / unmount really helps – you put your mounts on (you’ll need a Philips screwdriver to tighten it up) and that’s it – leave the mounts in place. Can’t comment on the battery life. Can say that even if it’s 20 hours, I don’t care – I’ll put in new batteries and the kiddos can be on their way.hthDingo

Value for price is outstanding
Bought this for my son who rides his bike to school in the dark in the mornings. It provides outstanding safety and visibility. Easy installation that is impermanent and does not damage or mar the bike. Uses aaa batteries, which is nice and simple. This is not a super bright spot light that you could mountain bike trails at night with, but for increased visibility and safety on marginally lit city streets, you can’t beat it at this price. Even if the durability doesn’t stand up, it’s a fraction of the price of most other options and I’ll happily buy it again. So far, after weeks of use, no issues whatsoever.
