Just Barely Fits My 45″ Hips/Butt, Recommend Going Up A Size
NOTE: I got the size Regular, which was the only size available when I ordered. My hips around my butt (which is where my sciatic pain is, on the right) measure 45″ and while that’s the high end of what this belt fits, I crossed my fingers and ordered it anyway. I’ve found that many braces these days seem smaller in reality than advertised — although I always measure at least twice before ordering — so I typically opt for a larger size if available.I’m glad this fits, but it’s not a great fit. The velcro flap doesn’t completely overlap the belt, so part of it rubs against my clothes. A bigger size would be more ideal. Despite that, it’s still fairly comfortable, and helps with my pain. There are 2 adjusting straps that can be tightened or loosened as needed, although I set mine at their loosest before I even put it on.These are helpful with sciatic pain if it’s high up on your butt rather than down your leg. The other pain I use it for is occasional hip joint pain, which is a little worse as I age.I don’t know how long the belt will last, but it seems decent quality so hopefully it’ll last quite a while, especially if I don’t gain weight. I recommend sizing up whenever you buy a brace, unless you’re in a place where you can try it on before buying. Overall I’m glad I have it, but I wish it were bigger.Four stars from me!

I purchase it for my sciatica pain. So far, so good. True to the size.

Great sciatic support
I live first gen belt but 2nd generation just improved. The elastic support being one instead of two smaller straps for support keeps it in place far better with movement. The two straps although very supportive tend to separate with movement and move away from support where needed and need readjusting to reposition them back on support belt.

Good for challenges from hypermobile SI joint
This belt is well-designed and is made from quality materials. It is suitable for use during exercise such as running, and it can be washed. Fit should be fine for most (max waist size 45″).I have had some tightness on one side in the sacroilliac area. It has not responded well to stretching so I thought to give this belt a try. I also consulted with my highly trusted local Physical Therapist. My PT advised that my issue was most likely due to poor mobility in the SI joint on that side. We’re pursuing a different course of treatment and he advised that I was unlikely to benefit from this belt. He believes that this type of belt is perfect for treating someone with more of a hypermobility problem – i.e. if the SI joints are not staying where they are supposed to be.So I haven’t seen a lot of benefit out of this belt as of yet. Holding on to it for now.

Excellent design and build-quality; moderate lower-back support
I have a dozen âback bracesâ which provide varying levels of support to my lower back. This product is different â it is much narrower (top to bottom), is worn lower on the body than a traditional back brace, and does not have rigid supports which pretty much force your back into a specific position and holds it there. For my needs, this brace does not provide nearly enough support, but its design and workmanship are excellent, and it is narrow enough that it is quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time (unlike the more restraining back braces). If you need only moderate support (instead of having modern-day whale bones forcing your spine straight) and/or want something you can wear comfortably for many hours, this brace might work great for you.The material and build quality are top-notch. Plus, whoever designed this brace created an excellent double-belting system; unlike many other braces, the Velcro surfaces on this brace cover pretty much the entire front surface of the belt, so you can pull it really tight (even if you are at the very bottom of the size chart) and there should be an available Velcro facing to hold it secure (see photo). Finally, unlike many comparable products, this one comes with understandable instructions and suggested exercises which I found pretty useful (see photos).Even though this wasnât the perfect product for my needs, I appreciate how well-designed and constructed it is. I think itâs is a good value ($19.99 at time of order), and would be helpful and comfortable for people who need only moderate lower back support.5 stars.
