UPDATE: The Shiatsu foot massager started working again, so I am keeping it because it does a great job hitting all of the reflex points when it works. I saw another review that mentioned overheating and shutting off automatically, so I guess that is what happened.The Shiatsu foot massager is great when it works, but mine stopped working at day 2 of use, just like the last one I owned. The lights are on so power is getting to the unit. The rotating massage balls just freeze, never to work again. What a bummer! Find a different product. This is twice with the same problem on this product. There is definitely an engineering or part design flaw. I tried twice because it really is great when it works, but I think I am done with this. You will be delighted for two days if you buy one.

Not working after 1/2 year (second one) STAY AWAY!
I got this as a gift bought on Amazon in July ’20. It worked fine. I turned it off one night. Now it won’t turn on again. I don’t know if there is a fuse inside, but there’s a zillion screws so I haven’t opened it yet. This is the second Homedics Foot massager we’ve had. The first one broke after maybe one year. At the time I wrote the company, no reply.The bottom line is STAY AWAY from this product and from HoMedics. Amazon should know better than to have this crap on their site! And with a company that couldn’t care less about customers once they’ve got your money.Customer Service is non existent. Having the product registered makes no difference.UPDATE 20210401 (the review says 2016, THAT IS WRONG, I wrote it in 2021.)Upon contacting Homedics customer service, they verified our purchase and sent us a new unit. They instructed us to throw the old unit away.This seems to be routine for the company from reading other negative reviews. It’s great they actually replaced the defective unit, but I am not optimistic about the new one lasting. Time will tell. As I started the review this is now third one so let’s see.

Good But Could Be Great
Revisions I’d like to see: 1. Should be twice as big. i.e., Should have four rotors not two. I don’t have really large feet but this device leaves you dangling which cause stress trying to keep your feet on it. another option would be making the rear edge straight instead of curved. Doing this gives the option of buying another unit and placing them back-to-back. 2. The heater doesn’t get warm enough, tepid at best. 3. Could be sturdier. made lots of creaking noises which doesn’t promote confidence. Finish: The rotors are effective in providing relief to sore feet. Just saying this unit could be a lot better.

Husband (220lbs) very happy with the pressure, but the heat is so light, he says its kinda pointless. Loud, but not really a bother. Now my parents want one
