Perfectly nostalgic!
I had these on my first box bike when I was a kid in the 80’s. So when i recently obtained my 29 inch big boy box bike, I immediately went searching for some of these. Unlike most things I remember from my childhood, these are exactly the same, and I’m still filled with joy every time I ride. The sound they make is perfect. Definitely recommend!

Ploinking to the 80’s
Yes, I had these spoke beads on my bike wheels in the 80’s and so did all my friends. I don’t think they glowed in the dark though, that is extra cool. Ploink, ploink ploink, what a nostalgic sound! These really take me back, and it’s fun we get to put these on the kids bikes spokes now. To be more accurate, it’s fun we get to make the kids put these on their own spokes now.As a parent I now realize these beads serve another purpose- you can hear your kid ploinking up and down the street on their bike, very reassuring. There is ton of these in one little package, more than enough to generously adorn front and back wheels of 2 bikes. We were able to distribute some to the neighbor kids as well. It doesn’t take many of these to get a good ploink going. You can actually start to recognize different bikes approaching by the tone and intensity of the ploinks. They pop on easily, were slightly tricky at first for my 7 year old but it isn’t hard. We haven’t had any fall off and the glow effect is cool, but doesn’t replace safety lights at night.

Fun added bling and sound
My daughter loves having these little beads on her bike! They are surprisingly durable and snap onto the bike with relative ease. We loaded up her tires but still have plenty to spare. They don’t noticeably glow in the dark, but we also don’t get a lot of sunshine that would cause them to do so. For something so inexpensive, they have brought a lot of excitement and fun!
