Fun for kids
My daughter loves this item. She’s been using the magnets to write notes for us on the dining room table. Nice sensory play item for older kids, I would worry about kids under 4 years thinking they were candy as they remind me of nerds or the candy coated chocolate rock candy.

These were awful. Upon delivery they were broken open & dispersed all throughout the box. They have barely any magnetic strength to them at all. Don’t bother. Buy Speks. You get what you pay for.

fun but weak
A good pile of brightly colored magnets to play around with that seem relatively safe for children beyond the teething and eat-anything stage â perhaps 3 yrs+.The container is just the right size to keep them together although it could be a bit more connected to the toy with some matching color and decoration. Black is an inexpensive option, I guess.The magnets are just barely strong enough to stay in a pile on the table, which makes them very safe to play with, pinch-free. But picking up a string of more than 5 at a time is difficult without it falling apart, getting much harder as the number increases. Gravity dominates over the magnetism. I managed to get 20 with careful movement but itâs a challenge that soon gets dull. No chance of making a bracelet that stays on! Nor any sort of structure or statue. If they were maybe 50%-100% stronger, it would be much more fun and productive.As a test, I threw in a few of my tiny cubic neodymium magnets that are probably 5x stronger than the colored ones, and it made for much more interesting shapes that could hold together. Unfortunately the strength disparity is so large that the stronger cubes will quickly find each other, gather into a nucleus, and leave the weaker ones on the periphery to fall off more easily. Constructing a strong string requires diligent placement of the powerful magnets with some spacing, but it easily self destructs into a blob due to that strength difference. Instead, perhaps a mix of some other medium-strength magnets would have a better outcome here if the user were motivated to find them… but all of this is outside the scope of what comes in this package.It ought to be a good and educational distraction for the kids. But at a $15 price it could be better.

Perfect! So Fun (They aren’t meant to be strong!)
The strong magnets others thought they were buying are actually illegal in the United States now. Either way these are colorful, the shape is very cute and reminds me of candy (which a small child or pet should be nowhere near these anyway if swallowed they are majorly dangerous) and they are the best strength! It’s like they can connect and form a string but also they easily just squish apart if you press them in your hands. I am loving them and wish I got them sooner. – autistic and ADHD adult here

I bought these to split up in easter eggs. claims to be “over 600” this one only had 336 and my other color that I bought a week earlier had 521 so count your pebbles if you care. I love these but it would be nice if they actually had over 600.
