it does ring decent loud, but if ur a biker and you know how it is to bike on bike paths or on sideway with other people walking. with the people listing to music and older people, hearing this bell isnt good enough. i will be getting something louder in the future.yea they both broke on their own… one lasted awhile, but broke, and the 2nd one broke in days
