Customers say

Customers find the thermometer reliable, easy to use, and appreciate its quick 6-second reading time. They like its compact size, being small enough to fit in a pocket, and consider it good value for money. The accuracy and temperature measurement receive mixed feedback – while some find it highly accurate, others report inconsistent readings and low temperature readings. The build quality is poor, with customers describing it as flimsy and not durable.

FINALLY, an accurate and easy to use digital thermometer
This was being used by the home health nurses assisting my husband so I finally asked what brand it was thinking if professional healthcare staff were using it, it must be good. BINGO. I threw out 5 other almost useless digital thermometers and now have one that actually is simple to use and works all the time. Those point-n-shoot ones are notoriously inaccurate and it’s inconvenient to have to place a sheath on oral thermometers. It cleans quickly with an alcohol prep pad. Would buy it again.

    Seems accurate
Is easy to use and gets temp within a few seconds. The readings seem to be right too.

We use it most when my grandbaby is asleep.
I bought this for my granddaughter because the rectal thermometer is just a hassle. This works great and I can take her temperature while she’s asleep.

How much easier is this to use! Roll across the forehead and done! Perfect!

    Accurate
I love how small this thermometer is. I actually got this one to compare to my other one and they read the same exact temperature. So id say it’s very accurate!

    Readings run high
I’ve had this thermometer for close to a year now and the readings have always been a bit too high. It’s drifting even further upward with my tests today. I’ve taken 3 different readings and it says that I have an average temperature of 100ºF, which is definitely a fever. I was alarmed, so I cross-checked with an under-the-tongue traditional thermometer that I have, and those readings are normal at 97.5ºF. This thermometer is very easy to use and takes very quick readings, but I would NOT rely on it for precision.

5 tries – five different temps – all in a minute!
My son recently had pneumonia (at 6 years old). It started with a severe fever. I had just a bit earlier, bought this thermometer because of the ease, speed and (yeah) the reviews I read. This thermometer UNDER-read his temperature, when his temperature was actually 107.4 degrees! YEAH! With this thermometer, it read just a bit over 102 degrees. I didn’t believe the 102 degrees because of how HOT my son felt and used a traditional thermometer – immediately got him into a bath, and rushed him to the hospital. He’s all better now, but this thermometer, during the course of his illness would read low, read high…I tested it on myself, and it would read a correct temperature, right after reading an incorrect temperature from my feverish son.I tested it against my son by repeatedly taking his temperature. Five tries, within a minute, got five different temperatures, ranging from BELOW normal to dangerously high! (all the while my son’s actual temperature was moderately feverish! An incorrect temperature reading has potentially life threatening consequences! THIS thermometer placed my son’s life at risk! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It is a waste of money…I expect no refund…it is land-fill-fodder! (and since it’s mostly made of plastic, it will remain a thousand year testiment to incredibly poor manufacturing quality…unless I smash it before I trash it.)

    Extremely repeatable readings
From reading others’ reviews, it sounds like some number of customers must have gotten bum units. I bought mine in October 2020 to replace a failing Exergen thermometer because throughout last year I had to measure my daughter’s temperature every morning before school and fill out an online form. This little thermometer has given incredibly consistent readings on each of us in the household, and knowing our baseline temps allows us to know when something is wrong. It takes longer to get a reading, and you have to wait before taking a second reading, but to me it’s worth that wait. On the other hand, if you need to take a lot of consecutive readings, this probably won’t work for you. One thing it’s usability score would really benefit from is a backlight. The box mine came in indicated it was manufactured in Israel (LOT 2008-0068). The unit itself doesn’t seem to have any information about place of manufacture. The page here on Amazon now (9/2021) states they’re made in the USA. I guess it’s possible they’re pulling them from various factories and maybe the reliability is lower from certain places? Either way, I’ve been very satisfied with this product.
