4a African American Natural Hair
Great for general hair health and strength, especially for over-conditioned hair. I over-conditioned my hair to the point where it felt very limp and mushy. I used this product and immediately my curls popped back and felt strong. I typically use it with a handheld dryer, not a hood dryer. Thatâs just how my mom did it when I was younger. Through my adulthood, Iâve tried both ways and find the benefits of an hood dryer for this particular treatment are negligible. Handheld works just fine and is more convenient for me personally.

SAVED MY HAIR
I donât normally write reviews but I had to for this one. This product literally saved my hair. After a visit with my salon (whom I used to go to as a teen- first mistake since itâs been so long!) and requesting highlights/balayage (I had very dark hair so I knew this wouldnât be done in one session which was fine), we got there! Not after having my hair in foils for AN HOUR AND A HALF. My hair was absolutely FRIED. And not only did I know it then, but she even went as far as suggesting layers (which Iâve only been getting blunt cuts as I want it to appear fuller and longer) to cut off as much as the damage as she could! As she was cutting my hair was when I saw my hair literally melting onto her hands. I lost it. Did she know she made a mistake? Of course! Did she apologize or let me know? Of course NOT! Only blow dried my hair and told me to condition it more often now because I was blonde. Ok. It wasnât until my first wash (this was 4 days later) that I noticed my hair was literally falling out. Like actual clusters. I cried. My hair which Iâve been trying to grow out for SO LONG. Immediately I ran to Amazon after my cousin suggested this product. This was Tuesday. I used this product on Friday along with a at home head hair dryer (which I also bought on Amazon) and went to work. I let it sit for 45 min under the blow dryer until my hair felt like ramen (as the instructions suggested.) I did step number two, washed and styled with Aphogeeâs heat protectant product and holy cow. My hair went from straw like to the softest hair ever. And it wasnât only topical. It literally did feel healthier than it did 4 days prior with my first wash. This product LITERALLY saved my hair when I thought I had no other option than to cut it all off. I will continue using as directed every 4-6 weeks and using hair masks in between. If you had a bad day at the salon, run, donât walk for this product. 10/10

I found this product from researching what to do with my hair which was severely burnt at a hairdressers doing a Brazilian / keratin treatment. I had been using other well known products beginning with O, but although they thickened my hair, they didnât seem to work as well for the moisture and elasticity.I used this for the first time today. Hair is immediately much softer, feels smoother, and because I colour my hair, the colour now looks more even as the cuticle is smoother.I had resorted to wearing my hair up following this disaster, but now I am confident enough to wear it down again.Not on the instructions but several YouTubers recommend a hair mask after step 2, which I did.
