Excellent back brace for quick pain relief, with therapeutic features
I tested this a day after spending hours on a ladder updating outside lighting. My back was very sore, and stretching, Advil, and a massage gun did little to ease the pain. I finally remembered this back brace had recently arrived and once I put it on, the improvement was obvious. It’s not a magical cure, but I’m no longer walking like an invalid. I ordered an extra large out of an abundance of caution regarding extra padding gained over my winter hibernation. When I first tried it on it barely closed around my waist. I thought surely I had not added THAT much padding! Then I read the instructions and realized the Velcro straps on the sides allow the brace to be expanded quite a bit. Following the instruction, I loosened the side straps, fastened the brace around my midsection, and then tightened the straps. This provides fantastic support!The brace had a strong odor when I first unpacked it, so I hung it outside for a few hours to air it out. A slight odor can still be detected, so I plan to hang it outside again once I take it off.I really like this back brace. I’ve tried other braces, and they have not provided as much support or comfort. This one tightens as much as you want, provides uniform support and comfort, and the triangular massage cushion provides much needed lumbar relief.

Great quality back brace–runs fairly true to size, but is not for long torsos
The quality of this back brace is incredible! I would expect to pay a few times the price if I bought it at a DME store, it’s truly a great value for the price. The metal stays really provide a level of support that isn’t in other abdominal support bands (but then, this is for true, structured support). The two interchangeable pads for your back provide different styles of relief, but I found myself mostly using the larger flat one.I love how easy it is for me to put this brace on by myself–the adjustability is so handy. I thought I would be all right with an XL, and for the most part I am–it’s just really easy to over-tighten, which isn’t good! But oh, it’s so nice to get the main band situated, comfortably, and then pull on the two side straps and cinch everything in–the relief is immediate! Plus, it’s got a lot of mesh, so I haven’t had any issues with overheating or getting uncomfortable in it (I wear it over a t-shirt or tank).The only complaint I have with the design is that while it’s well designed for *around* the body, it’s not well suited for a person of above-average height. I don’t think I’m using it incorrectly (I’ve checked)–I just have a longer torso, so it’s very tricky to situate the brace in a position that both supports my lower back *and* provides stability to my core. Maybe I’m looking for too much from one item–but it’s shown as more of a “middle of the body” item, not “around the lower abdomen and hips,” so I think I’m correct in saying it’s for more average/shorter heights.If this was just a little bit “taller,” then it’s something I’d really wear more often. As it is, it’s more of an “after a tough workday” thing, whereas I was looking for something to wear at work. But it is SO high quality, and it is SO well made, and works great, that I really highly recommend it for anyone who isn’t too tall!!
