How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

Itâs almost perfect
Iâve transitioned away from mainstream sunscreens and this was my first mineral based-zinc sunscreen. It goes on well and doesnât leave you looking like a chalky ghost, which is a big plus. After reading some of the other comments, I was afraid it wouldnât work, but I wore it in the pool/on hikes/ during general summer antics and had great results! Literally the only problem is that itâs SO greasy and it DOES NOT rub in. I even had to stop putting it on in the car because everything I touched got a greasy white tint. On the flip side, I always felt super moisturized after applying it.

Best suncream for pregnancy. So few ingredients and all super safe, Iâm so pleased to have found their products! There is nothing comparable on the market (and Iâve spent a long time searching!). Itâs a very thick sunscreen and not like anything I have used before (new convert to mineral) but it lasts really well on my skin and makes me feel really moisturised and protected. Itâs obviously not as easily âabsorbedâ or less greasy than some of the cheaper chemical sunscreen brands but I am happy about that because itâs such a good product and has nothing nasty in it.I wish more Badger products were available on Amazon including their belly butter and SPF 50.Thank you for making products I enjoy and feel safe using! Letztes Jahr habe ich diese Firma entdeckt und ich bin sehr positiv überrascht von der Sonnencreme. Riecht angenehm und ist einfach aufzutragen. Man muss aber eine sehr dünne Schicht auftragen, damit die Creme nicht mehr sieht. Stört mich persönlich nicht. Meine Kindern mögen es.

i’ve been looking for a mineral sunscreen for a while because it’s environmentally safe. I’m indian and quiet tanned and this doesn’t leave me looking like I’ve white paint on my face:-). very slight white cast in the beginning of application which goes away after few minutes. This sunscreen is very moisturising, which is great for me as i have dry skin and psoriasis and doesn’t irritate my skin. Maybe will be a bit too greasy for people with oily skin. Perfect for dry skin. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive for the amount you get, but i guess it’s because its an US imported product therefor its way more cheaper in the US. I wish UK made a clear zinc oxide sunscreen for a reasonable price.

Used a few times and seems pretty good. I like the low chemical and more natural based ingredients. However it is very greasy. Hard to squeeze out the tube but once you start applying it reminds me of butter in consistency and how it goes on and the greasiness. Not sure if it stains clothes, doesnât seem to but unsure how much went on clothes. Probably best used for days around the pool/beach where you donât have to worry about it going on your clothes incase it stains.
