ABOUT BEACTIVE PLUS: BeActive Plus is made of 80% Neoprene and 20% Polyester and fits 12.5 inches to 21 inches around the calf. The Velcro adheres to the neoprene well past the velcro base. It is worn right below the knee. The brace is not a cure. You need to be applying the pressure to the correct point on the outer muscle of the calf to get relief. Initially, do not wear it for more than 2 hours to get used to it, then wear it as long as you feel comfortable.

Actually Works
This does actually work. I don’t need to wear it all the time but if I feel the nerve acting up it prevents it from tuning into a full blown spasm. This is not a cure but it will manage the spasming nerves much better.

I was skeptical. How could something on my calf relieve the pain in my upper leg/buttock area? Honestly it did! It took a few minutes or so but the longer I wore it the pain started to fade. It didn’t get rid of pain 100% but made it dull enough it was tolerable. I slept with it on it worked for most of the night but I think it may have shifted because around 3am pain was back. Pain does come back pretty quickly when you remove it. I was hoping for it to be gradual but for me it wasn’t. I recommend buying this product if you need short-term temporary relief. It’s definitely not a permanent fix. Another issue I think they should make different sizes rather than one size fits all. My calf I guess is small because the way the instructions tell you to place the strap does not align the pressure piece at all where it should be. I need a smaller one because the velco also rubs my leg. Which I would much rather deal with than sciatica pain.

If anyone attained relief through use of this product, they are luckier than I was. I was a bit skeptical about a product that used an acupressure point that was beyond the area of pain that originated in the back area. My skepticism was well founded. But I was in pain and thought Iâd give this product a try. Some said it actually helped. The good news is that you can try it and see if it works for you. And if it doesnât, you can return it. Thatâs what I did because it had absolutely no ability to reduce my sciatic pain. If anything, the pressure it put on the area where it is worn aggravated my pain. The bad news is that I honestly believe this contraption will work for very few people. And for those people for whom it works, I think many of them are benefiting from a placebo effect. Just my painful opinion.

Do a better job of packaging and product instructions
Packaging and instructions were a bit sketchy. You could have done a much better job explaining how to use this product, with clearer instructions. It felt like you put a minimum of effort into explaining how to use it. Text / diagrams were small and hard to read or see as I recall.

This seems to take much of the pain away and very easy to apply. This comfortable and not bulky! Completely satisfied. I purchased 2. ToHave Backup for left leg only. Although they fit either leg.

Note: This is FDA *cleared* which does NOT mean that it has been proven to work; it simply means that it can be marketed as a pain relief device because it is similar to other devices, and NONE of those ‘similar’ devices have evern been FDA *approved* (approved means they have been subject to testing, i.e. they actually work). More than likely this works by placebo effect.My GF had an ongoing back pain, I was skeptical about this (and other) device, but I bought it anyway as a long shot. It did not work. It turns out she just had a lumbar strain injury that eventually resolved on its own.This device seems too big for smaller people, and could be narrower considering it just applies pressure using a 1.5″ button. She is 4-11 and petite, and it definitely did not fit under her pants leg, and although the brace fit her leg, it was so bulky that it was impossible to place it in the correct position without overlapping her knee joint.The material is comfortable, and she wore it while sleeping with no issues (again, no relief because no Sciatica, but that’s expected).I tried it for fun – I’m a guy at 6-1 and athletic shape – and it fit great. So for my body type the fit was good. It still would be somewhat bulky under long pants, but would certainly be ok under baggy sweatpants, loose jeans, etc.Two stars because it’s decently manufactured, but I doubt it really works. It falls into the snake-oil category of acupuncture, chirotherapy, etc. Unfortunately they got my money, and I’m too lazy to refund, but I wouldn’t buy it. Go to a doctor.
