Locks the bike and wheels!
It’s only been a month or so and I haven’t had to use it as much as I expected but it’s worked well when I had to. The ability to keep it on the bike is great. Had to struggle a bit as I have an electric bike but did find a good spot eventually. Hopefully I never find out about how easy it actually is to cut through it. It also comes with a cable that’s good to use if you leave your bike out for longer durations.

A good value, but one minor annoyance
I’ve been using this lock and am generally happy with it–it’s not too heavy and easy to lock and unlock. One minor annoyance: the slot in the key is very narrow. I’ve tried several key rings and none work well with this key. The key will go into the ring but it won’t slide or rotate on the ring, making the ring stick out at an odd angle and poke into or through clothes. I tried enlarging the hole with a knife, with little success. Not sure why they couldn’t provide a standard key with a standard hole.

Big, may have to get creative to mount on some bikes, noisy when riding and hitting bumps
This lock is pretty big, so if you have a bicycle like mine which doesn’t have a perfectly level/parallel to the ground cross bar, or you have a “step-through” style bicycle, you will have to get creative with mounting thisThe mount consists of two pieces – one for each side of a round pole. On my bicycle, the cross bar is at an angle. Additionally, it is an oval-ish shape so the included mount would not work on it. Also because of the angle of the cross bar, there was not enough clearance for the entire U lock to fit in that space under the cross bar and in front of the seat post.Fortunately, the mount rotates, as does the mount’s clip on the U lock itself, which allowed me to install the U lock to the side of the seat tube and under the cross bar. While riding the bike, this doesn’t affect my peddling, but it does affect when I need to stop and straddle the bicycle (I’m short, and my seat is high up, so I have to dismount to reach the ground.)The mount itself is sturdy if you crank the screws down, which you really have to do to ensure it doesn’t rotate in place. The same with the tiny hex bolt that holds the clip to the lock itself.The thick cable provided is a generous length and allowed for me to tether both of my kids’ bicycles to my own bike and loop through my front wheel as well. The cable is stiff so don’t expect to try to wrap the cable around the U lock itself and carry it all together; it won’t work. I had to carry the cable in my bookbag. It has two velcro wraps to roll the cable up into a large roll.My only real complaint about this lock is that as some other reviews have pointed out, it is NOISY when riding. The U portion of the lock makes a loud and noticeable metallic rattle inside of the base when locked so whenever I hit a bump, it makes noise. I am working on figuring out a way to shim the lock with padding or tape or something else to silence it and will update my review if I figure something out.

Great lock!
I love this lock. My bike has been my only transportation since August of 2018, and that’s how long I’ve had my lock. You can twist a section on the lock to cover the keyhole and prevent dirt from getting inside, but even without using that cover, the lock is just as smooth to lock and unlock as it was the day I bought it. The lock has some scrapes around the places where the U-shaped piece of metal meets the lock mechanism itself, so it has clearly done its job and prevented somebody from stealing my bike. The cable is also nice, although I don’t use it often because I don’t want the added weight.My only con when it comes to this bike is the mounting system. I’d give that three stars. Over time as I rode my bike on bumpy city roads and used the mounting system, it loosened up and stopped holding the lock firmly in place (allowing it to rotate while mounted), so it would either bang against the bike or my legs. Then, about a year ago, the mounting system broke off mid-ride. The section that broke was not the piece that attaches to the bike, it was the piece attached to the lock itself. This is a small con, though, and doesn’t matter too much to me as I carry the lock in my backpack most of the time anyways.I would definitely recommend this lock to anyone, and I would definitely buy it again!

見た目がごいついので盗難防止に効果ありそうです。ワイヤーも使うつもりでしたが、U字で後輪とフレームをロックするだけでかなりの抑止力になりそうなので、ワイヤーは持ち歩いていません。特に気に入ったのはフレームにU字を備え付けるホルダーです。がっちり固定出来るのに、ワンプッシュでするっと外れてくれます。前はぐるぐるのワイヤーでロックするものを使っていたのですが、ロックするのが面倒になり結局ロック無しで放置する事もありました。このU字の一番の利点は気軽さだと思いました。他の方のレビューで重いというのを目にしましたが、むしろ私には軽く感じました。前にバイクに乗っていたためそれとの比較になってしまったからかもしれません。ナンバー式のものは素人でも根気があれば、外せてしまうのでこちらを選んで良かったです。

El lock U esta genial hasta estoy pensando en comprar otro, el porta candado U se acopla muy bien en la bicicleta es muy funcional! de rápido acceso, el único pero que le pondría es que hay quebuscar un poste no muy grueso para poder bloquear la bici, esto. por el tamaño pero para ello esta la cadena incorporada aunque no la recomiendo se corta fácil. De ahí esta excelente producto.

Ich habe mir das Schloss für mein Lastenfahrrad gekauft.Es ist total robust.Was ich richtig gut finde ist das da wo man den Schlüssel rein steckt also direkt am Schloss man den Schutz so umdrehen kann das weder Feuchtigkeit noch Schmutz ins Schloss geraten kann. Das Drahtseil ist umhüllt und hat eine gute Länge.Ich bekomme alle drei Räder meines Lastenfahrrad und noch den Helm damit zusammen abgeschlossen. Ich bin total zufrieden mit dem Material und der Sicherheit dieses Schlosses
