One of my favorite snacks
Found Luna bars in college and fell in love! These are my favorite flavor and they got me through the extreme hunger that I had throughout my pregnancy. I love the size and portability. The flavor is always consistent. And they arenât bad for you which is nice too especially in pregnancy.

Tart lemon in a dense protein bar
I’m following orders to increase my daily protein intake. As an empty-nester and single adult, I don’t cook anything other than a frozen pizza, baked potato, or put together a quick salad. Not exactly loading up on protein, just empty carbs. So I am trying these bars, and they’re not bad.
I guess it’s because I’d rather have a lemon cooler cookie or ten, or a slice of lemon cake with sour cream frosting — but again, empty carbs. So I just need to grab one of these bars, which are preferable over eating spoonfuls of peanut butter or opening a can of tuna and loading up on mercury. I’ve eaten so much tuna lately, I could double as a thermometer.
The good: Tart lemon, helps to cover up the soy taste. I like the gluten-free, another dietary restriction…
The bad: Dense. This old gal likes soft, fluffy cake. I’ll get used to it.
The ugly: Trying not to make faces as I chew the dense bar. I’ll get used to it.
