Customers say
Customers find these foam rollers work well, particularly on thick hair, creating beautiful curls that wake them up with luscious results. They are soft enough for grown-ups to wear overnight, and customers like their color and value for money. The size receives mixed feedback – while some find them nice, others say they’re too small. The sturdiness and clip hold are concerns, with customers reporting that they keep falling apart and won’t stay clasped shut.

Looks as advertised and they work
They look exactly like I expected them to based on the pictures. I’ve used them twice, and they worked well. I have fine hair but there’s a lot of it so I bought two packages and had 2 or 3 left over each time. I used them for a 1940’s Lauren Bacall style and used fairly large chunks of hair in each one. You do have to be careful how you place them with the plastic that goes around it as I had trouble with it putting a kink in my hair. Don’t put it all the way up to the very top of your hair with the plastic holding it so it pulls your hair straight up. You want the plastic not too tight on the hair, maybe a couple inches away from your head. They are a pretty flimsy bit of plastic so I doubt they will last forever, but I didn’t have any trouble with them breaking like other reviewers did. Maybe order enough so that you have a few extra in case one breaks.

I like to sleep with my rollers in my hair for …
I like to sleep with my rollers in my hair for several reasons – it’s convenient, no heat damage to my hair, and I get a beautiful long lasting result for the following day. I’ve been using this brand of foam rollers for several years now only because I cannot seem to find another brand of foam rollers in this 1.5 size. They are very comfortable but there is TERRIBLE problem with them – the plastic snap holders don’t work! The plastic holders are flimsy and they don’t snap shut. So… what I’ve had to do over the years is substitute the plastic holders from this set of 1.5 sized rollers with holders from a different set of rollers – that is, the 1 inch sized roller set that I have, made by the same company! for some reason, the holders of other sizes are thick and sturdy and do work. But not in the 1.5 roller size! So, I would not recommend this product until the manufacturer improves the quality of the plastic roller snap holders.

Much better than Goody
Like most people, I bought the assorted pack of Goody rollers at the store. Over the past three years, I’ve made some really beautiful vintage hair styles with them, but over the years I’ve lost a few of them and some have even worn out, so I bought a pack of these in 1.25 and 1.5″. These are like the platinum, s-tier version of the goody rollers! They don’t compress like the store bought ones do, and I love that they come in larger sizes and don’t just have a bunch of sizes together that I will never use (looking at you, yellow and blue rollers). I will miss seeing cosmo and wanda in my hair (iykyk), but I also love how sleek these look because they are black.

Weak frames.disappointed
The frames on these rollers are thin, weak and poorly made. The outer frame falls off while rolling the hair. They are a waste of money. I have some old sponge rollers from the 1970s that work as they should. Sadly, I gave bags of them away when we moved a year ago. I thought I could easily replace them. After wasting money on these and a couple other poorly made brands, I discovered that Conair still makes foam rollers to a quality standard. The only drawback is that they do not give the diameter measurement so you need to guess at what they consider extra large, etc. some of their sizes can be bought from WalMart online with free shipping.

Good for Short Hair
I got these for a no heat way to shape short hair (think pixie cut), especially second and third day waves that need some help looking bouncier! Such a classic for a reason – Diane is a go to and the 3/4 size is great to get a good number of wraps on short, short hair (or spirals on more chin length)
