Make a Difference –
Have a child with Asthma? This nice pulse oximeter would be handy to have!
This is a nice little pulse oximeter, sized for a smaller finger as with a child. The main difference between a childâs monitor and an adult one, is the size of the surface where the finger is placed inside the unit, for the O2 and pulse reading. If the finger is too large, itâs possible to not get proper contact for an accurate reading. With that said, I was able to get an accurate reading- compared with results from an adult pulse oximeter unit- with my average sized pointer finger. The reading and results were quick.Choices and references for the display can be changed by doing a hold-press on the button to bring up several screens of menus and following the prompts. Or, just have fun and explore the menu. This is a handy unit to have, especially if you have children with allergies or asthma and want to keep track of the amount of oxygen in the blood. The unit comes with an attachable lanyard and batteries. At the time of this review there is a 10% off coupon that expires after a short time, but even without it, the price is reasonable.

Great oximiter with removable batteries
The oximeter works great, no complaints, and readings match my other device.Easy to use, durable, easy to read screen, everything works great.I love that it has removable batteries, since i don’t need to use this often and rechargeable devices tend to die if left unused for a while. With removable batteries i can leave the batteries out and use rechargable AAA which i use for several other devices and always have handy.

Simple but effective pulse oximeter
This pulse oximeter is quite nice. Itâs a little on the right side, but seems to have good construction. The hinge actually has an offset to allow for larger fingers, which is great. The display is decent, and easy to see. The set up and memory mode do have a bit smaller text, which can be a bit harder to read, but overall not too bad. It displays battery life as well which I like. I also like the fact that it takes triple AAA batteries. I like the lanyard that it comes with which is decent and fits around the neck. Wouldâve been nice to have a protective case, but that is the only downside. It is quite simple to use. You simply push the single button and place your finger into the padded reading sensor. It will begin to take readings immediately and display results within five seconds. It immediately senses when itâs been removed and will power down after five seconds. It has simple basic functions that include pulse rate, oxygen, concentration, and perfusion percentage, which measures the blood flow in the finger used. I like the fact that it has a 20 measurement memory which makes it good for home use or working in a medical environment where youâre seeing multiple patients at a time. Overall, this is an easy to use device. That does exactly what itâs supposed to do.

Well-built kids pulse oximeter with great display
I got this pediatric pulse oximeter for my kids and it’s been incredibly helpful in monitoring their oxygen levels at home. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy it felt – not like those flimsy medical devices that break after a few uses. The display is really impressive! It’s bright, colorful, and I can easily read the numbers even in the middle of the night when I’m checking on my little one. I love that I can adjust the brightness depending on whether I’m monitoring during the day or at night. The fit is perfect for my 6-year-old’s finger, and he actually thinks it’s kind of cool to wear. The alarm feature gives me peace of mind because I can set it to alert me if his levels drop below a certain point. What’s really useful is the ability to store previous readings – I can track his progress and show his doctor at appointments. The fact that it uses regular AAA batteries is a huge plus (and they included two!). No need for special charging cables or constantly monitoring battery life. For any parent with a child who needs oxygen monitoring, this device is absolutely worth getting. It’s been a game changer for our family’s peace of mind.

Got nearly identical readings for myself with both adult and child-oximeters
When someone in our family has a new child, I generally give them a childâs oximeter. There are bound to be situations where it would be helpful for parents to get oximeter readings as long as they donât rely on it exclusively and also take the childâs other symptoms into consideration. That said, having a child-specific oximeter is important because a childâs small fingers may not be read accurately in an adult oximeter. This oximeter by ESPOO is a cute elephant that closes gently on a childâs finger and provides a reading very quickly. The readout is clear and I especially like the adjustable settings for brightness and alarm levels. This oximeter also stores previous readings which other child-oximeters Iâve ordered did not do. My fingers are small and I measured my levels both with my adult oximeter and this one for a child and got nearly identical readings. The only negative is that the battery compartment is extremely tight. I tried three different brands of battery and had to really fight to install one set. I was going to deduct a star for this but I decided not to only because inserting batteries will only be done occasionally and does not impact daily use.

Keep Kids Kicking
Great device for keeping kids healthy. It works exactly as you might expect. The functions and menu operations are quite intuitive. You very much just turn it on and put it on. It also keeps track of historic numbers so you can see how your child is doing over time. Its small, so it can be challenging to read if you have bad sight, but the screen on it is bright, and you can adjust how bright it is.Overall, its well designed and a keeper for the medicine cabinet. Even the kids were pleased to put it on and see it function.
