For about a year and a half, I have been fighting some type of a rash on the calfs of my legs and other areas of my body and the dermatologist cannot figure out what it is or what’s causing it.I found something online that talked about glycerin and how moisturizing it was for your skin so I figured I would buy a bottle and test it out.I couldn’t believe it when I put this on my body and I mixed it 50/50. 50 water / 50 glycerin and I have never had the calves of my legs feel so moist ever. They’re amazing and it helped to clear up the rash and soothe the itching.So now when I get out of the shower I dry off and then I put a light coating all over and rub it in really well, but I make sure it dries really good before I put clothes on because it will make you feel like you’re constantly wet otherwise, it’s that moisturizing.I noticed that when I mixed it with tap water though the first time, it got moldy inside the sprayed bottle.This time I used spring water and I’m hoping for a better outcome. So make sure that when you mix this 50/50 that you don’t do a lot of it or you put a little bit straight from the glycerin bottle on moy’s hands and you massage it all over your body before you dry off after a shower rather than mixing it in a spray bottle.

I like this Glycerin and use it for DIY lotions. Just need to use a little because it is very thick and very sweet since it is a sugar alcohol. It makes the skin so soft. A small amount can also be added to shampoo to make hair soft and manageable. I recommend this product. 4 stars because it is relatively expensive for the amount.

We used this to make dog-safe bubbles for our dog to play with in the yard. This is a fantastic, organic, and non-toxic option to use for the most crucial ingredient in bubble solution. It made great bubbles and it is totally safe for our dog! It smells very much like organic, unscented soap.I don’t know what else this is used for, but if you are looking to make homemade bubbles then look no further!

I wanted to use some Glycerin to use in a specific way as a moisturiser but I wanted to make sure it was Organic & not sourced from Palm Oil. So I found exactly what I was looking for in this product. It had everything I needed & wanted. Including what I’ve already mentioned, it’s sustainably sourced from coconuts, it’s also pharmaceutical grade, it has the USDA certified organic stamp which means the product has been certified organic by a farm or business that is authorized to use the seal, & it’s vegan & cruelty free – yea! As I mentioned at the beginning I wanted Glycerin to use in my Nano Misters. I had intended to use a 1:4 ratio but I see on the Description Page that they suggest a 1:3 ratio so I’ll use their suggestion instead. I use a variety of moisturisers with actives like Retinol & Vitamin C to name two as well as exfoliants/moisturisers like Alpha Hydroxy & Beta Hydroxy Acids, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid so I wanted & needed an alternative to Hyaluronic Acid which needs to be applied, & for lack of a better term, rubbed into the skin, & Vaseline which is strictly a night time application, a humectant was my answer. My reason for wanting a humectant that can be used throughout the day is because I live in an apt in Canada which in the winter gets drier than the Sahara so I use tiny rechargeable Nano Misters to mist my face periodically during the day. I thought it would be helpful to add a couple of drops of Glycerin to the water to help draw & hold the water/moisture on the skin rather than have it just evaporating. So, I tried it & it worked like a dream. I do clean the little Nano mister tanks out when I’m done for the day just to make sure nothing gets contaminated & that I start the next day with clean tanks. I use rubbing alcohol to help with that. I love that my skin doesn’t have that stretched tight across my face feeling all day long. I think the regular selling price for this “has everything good” bottle of Glycerin, which at the time of this writing, is $14.99 is more than reasonable. 5 Stars

I got this because I’d heard great things about pure glycerin for dehydrated winter skin. Ultimately I don’t think this works any better than my regular skincare/I don’t see this adding any value to my routine. Honestly just straight up petroleum jelly works better for me. Nothing against this particular brand of glycerin, I just think the ingredient itself is overrated.Ok, this is one of those products I just HAD to update on:I continued using this morning and night just to use it up/continue testing it out, and omg my mind is blown! It must have taken a bit of time to work or something, because wow!! I’ve had a lot of difficulty with my skin barrier over the past ~15yrs. I realized after moving that it’s because my skin doesn’t adapt well/handle change well and appreciates stability. So dramatic seasonal changes in humidity just destroy my face. I’m just fine if the humidity is 30% year-round, but 90% down to 30% doesn’t go well. Anyway, it was so bad that I’d get what looked like dandruff flaking off of my face, it got *that* dehydrated. Previously the only thing that worked for me was a good ol’ slathering of vaseline….until this! My skin has never felt so good over the dry winter months than it does now, and…normally I can’t get away with using active ingredients over winter, it’ll destroy my moisture barrier….but now I can with no issue?? And I’d heard that gylcerin can actually PULL moisture from your skin if it’s too dry, but even with the humidity going down to 20% in the house, my skin still feels plump and hydrated. I’m literally mind-blown, I didn’t know it was possible for my skin to be this happy over the winter! I don’t like the packaging – I think it’d be better as a pump or dropper, but other than that, WOW!Update 2: it took me quite a while to determine that I was having an allergic reaction to this. The strange thing is it didn’t happen right away, and it doesn’t happen literally every time I use it. It seems like sometimes I can use it without a reaction if I just use a tiny bit added to my other skincare (aka diluted), but if I apply too much my whole face breaks out in a bumpy itchy rash. I didn’t believe it was this for the longest time, because who the heck has ever heard of a glycerin allergy??? But apparently that’s a real thing. Sigh…back to the drawing board!
