Really solid bike
I mountain bike and bought this to use when it’s too cold or wet outside, part of the home gym I’ve been building out during the pandemic. First, loved the colors because I just happen to have the black/red theme going with my other weights, etc. But I’ve now given it a few rides and can report it’s a really solid indoor bike for the price.Pros:- Super quiet and smooth- Sturdy and solid, doesn’t wiggle and move while riding- Heavy for sturdiness, but not so heavy you can’t easily move it around or into a storage spot- Good instructions for easy assembly. Took about 30 minutes taking my time.- iPad fits nicely in the tray, resting against the computer for a good angle. It’s nice to bike along to a virtual trail ride video while blasting tunes on the gym stereo.Cons:- Like others have said, the little computer is nothing special. It works but is a bit hard to read.- The pedal straps don’t feel deep enough to me and I only wear a size 9. It’s more comfortable to ride without using them. You can take them off or just ride using the other side of the pedals.Tips and review rebuttals:- Some people complained in reviews I read about pedals that fall off or a seat that wiggles and can’t be tightened, or is uncomfortable. Now that I have the bike and assembled it, I can say pretty definitely that these are all operator/assembly error — NOT the bike.- The pedals are CLEARLY marked with warning tags that they are specific left/right, and thread opposite directions for each one. One goes on clockwise, the other counter-clockwise. If someone had problems they likely put them on backward and stripped the threads.- The seat and instructions also have tags that clearly state to tighten both nuts at the same time when you mount the seat. Here’s the trick: The bike comes with tools, including a little socket wrench. It’s 13mm, but you need two wrenches to tighten the nuts at the same time. I have wrenches, so I just grabbed another 13mm and it tightened fine. If you don’t have a specific 13mm, try an adjustable or at least find a pair of pliers to tighten both nuts at the same time per the directions.- The seat has THREE ways to adjust it to fit your comfort. Up/down (height), front/back AND the angle or tilt. Many people may not know they can adjust the latter by loosening the same seat nuts as above and adjusting the pitch of the seat. That’s in the instructions but people don’t always read instructions. Instead they complain.Overall, I’m very happy with this bike.

My initial experience with this bike wasn’t great overall, but customer service was exceptional. Read on for reviews of bikes 1 and 2 and how CS handled it all. If you have doubts or issues with this product, know they will do their best to help you out.Initial Review: Bike 1Purchased this as a Christmas gift to myself to use in conjunction with a popular cycling app. Upon first impressions, I was pleased. Delivery was sooner than expected. It was well packaged. Heavy but not too heavy or bulky.Assembly was fairly easy, took about an hour with a 4-year-old distraction/helper. The main body comes preassembled, so that made it even easier. Instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow.Moving the bike into the gym was simple enough and I was able to roll it into the room myself just fine.Once I got things adjusted and hopped on, I was surprised at how quiet it was…Which is great for an early morning workout. That being said, being around 5 feet tall, this is a bit of a stretch for my frame. I can just barely comfortably use it, but I’m making it work. Sadly though, after only 90 minutes of ride time, I discovered a portion of the frame that came preassembled was faulty or poorly assembled. The portion that encased the belt that runs from the pedals to the front wheel doesn’t line up with all the screws and started popping apart, rubbing on the front wheel making a horribly irritating sound. I have tried twice to correct this issue because getting it back into the box to return it isn’t going to happen.Now, after only 120 minutes of ride time, the bike is creaking and the belt case is coming apart again.Overall, not a bad bike, but also flawed in its preassembled components. I also wish it measured cadence. I would have liked to get more than 2 hours of use out of it before it started coming apart at the seams, so I’m not sure how long this bike will last.********UPDATE: *********The seller contacted me to address the issues with bike 1. They were incredibly kind and helpful, and extremely quick to correct the problem. Within about a week, they replaced the entire bike with bike 2, and I (thankfully) did not have to return bike 1 to do so. They do care if their customers are happy. And that’s a big deal!The following is a review of the replacement bike.Bike 2:Again, assembly was incredibly quick and easy. Easy to move and adjust if needed. I do wish it had a spring-loaded style adjustable knob for the seat rather than screw style, but no biggie. I still had the same issues with the frame size since I’m not getting any taller, so still, something to keep in mind if you are on the shorter side. (I’m 5’0). The preassembled portion, I ensured did have screws that are aligned, but there is a slight bulge in the casing, so I hope it holds and doesn’t go the way of bike 1. After getting bike 2, I realized the magnetic resistance on bike 1 wasn’t nearly as strong as bike 2, which makes sense since there were other issues with bike 1. The replacement (bike 2) they sent me has great resistance, easy to adjust. It’s a very quiet bike. I’ve only gotten about 30 minutes of ride time on it so far, so fingers crossed it continues to perform well. I have no doubt that if there is an issue, the company will take care of me.Thank you for a great product with exceptional customer service.

Great bike for a great price! It was relatively easy to assemble with parts clearly marked. Heavy duty and stable for a comfortable and quiet ride and easy to move with the attached wheels. Seat and handlebar easy to adjust seat has a foam cover which makes it very comfortable cyclying works great.I would recommend this bike to anyone looking to keep fit ,in the comfort of your home.

It’s no Peloton, but great “bang” for the buck.I wasn’t looking to spend thousands on exercise equipment that may end up not being used in the long run. I wanted something that was decent to hopefully get me encouraged to get healthier but not break the bank if it ended up sitting in a corner.I chose this model as there were many more total reviews on Amazon.ca than others such as Sunny and Chaoke. The reviews were overall excellent as well. At the time of my purchase in early July 2021 the bike sold for $375 CDN. I was really skeptical about the low price but the thousands of reviews and specs were good. Regular price was about $500 which is where I expected to spend. Unlike some other bikes in this price range on Amazon.ca, DMASUN bikes are not just sold on Amazon from some unknown supplier in China. These bikes appear to be available from various exercise stores/suppliers. Makes me think these bikes are from an actual exercise equipment supplier who has taken time and effort to design something decent. Not just a one off to dump into the Amazon market.The overall weight of the bike and the flywheel were heavier than others in the same price range which should mean the bike would be more solid, smooth and stable. My bike does have magnetic resistance (older purchasers seems to have friction). The system is belt drive.The bike came days earlier than expected and in very sturdy package. Individual components were nicely wrapped and packaged within.Overall the build quality appears solid and nice.Assembly was easy.The bike is very sturdy, solid and appears well made. Welded seams look good and parts appear to be of solid metal quality.The bike operates very smoothly and super quiet.There was a bit of a rocking to it but was easily corrected via the adjustment caps on the stands.The fit and finish is just ok. But I wasn’t expecting too much. For example, decals were not straight or lifting off. Not a big deal to me.The handle bar post has a bit of a wobble as it is not rock solid in place. However, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break or loosen or come off. I also have it set to the highest height setting, so the post is extended as far as it can go. This may be why it’s not rock solid.The resistance has great range from no effort to really hard.Motion of the flywheel and crank are sooth as quiet.The bike is sturdy and solid to stand as you ride as well.Overall, it has a nice look.I am not keen on the toe clips and strap but those can be replaced easy enough.The seat is just ok. I have no problem with it but may want to upgrade.The monitor is pretty cheap but it does what it needs to to. Tells you time and speed and distance. I dont need any more. It also tells you heart rate which is pretty cool although I am not sure on the accuracy (via contacts on the handle bar and your palms).I am 5’9″ and weight 200 lbs and have had no problems finding comfortable position settings for seat height, seat angle, distance of seat to handle bars, hand bar height. Although I wish the seat distance could get just a bit closer to the handle bars. I have the handle bars all the way up which can be of concern for someone taller. But, this position has me fairly upright whereas I think spin bike position is probably more leaned over. So maybe I just have the handlebars a bit high for my height.I don’t plan to move it around but did test the wheels on the front stand. It moved very easily on the wheels with minimal effort but a bit awkward lifting the back end up and finding a good spot to hold it as I moved it.Over all, this bike really has good weight, build quality and smooth and quiet operation. For the $400 price range (give or take) it’s great value.Only time will tell if it lasts. I plan on using it every day for 30 minutes. I’ll add to this review in the near future.

The pandemic has hit people so hard there were times when we wondered how life could resume to like it was before. In the fall, I came upon a good cardio website and worked out at home since my gym had to close down. This was my lifeline to mental health (endorphins), but without supervision I injured my knees again (used to play soccer) and had to seek physiotherapy. My practitioner recommended a DMASUN stationary bike as part of my rehab – a client of his loved it. I was priced out of the market for a Peloton and decided to treat myself with a more modest Christmas present.About a month in, I was riding for 30 minutes a day and averaging about 12KM on the simple to use digital read out. It became a basement fixture, and that meant I could enjoy some good tunes without ear buds. The ride was pretty smooth and I found I not only could catch up on texts to people, but I could also read the magazines I had paid a subscription for. This me-time was precious and using a simple manual toggle to increase resistance meant I worked up a better sweat and drank more water. My kid actually saw me looking pretty comfortable one day with the tray propping up my smart phone and magazine underneath, she started riding, too!This is when trouble popped up, and I don’t mean arguments about taking turns. As part of our warm ups and cool downs, my daughter started riding in reverse. I thought this looked pretty cool, we adults can learn a lot from what’s trending with ours kids and try to stay hip. However, I think this may have had something to do with the pedal loosening at the end of the crank set. The two of us mistakenly thought the bike was wobbly and suspected it was just an uneven part of the floor because we live in a pretty old house. The next thing we knew, that pedal came off and it wouldn’t screw back in. We were oblivious of stripping the threads in the crank set.I had a neighbour pop over and take a look because he built his track bike from scratch (had parts shipped to his place separately), but he said unless I got a crank pull tool, there’s no way I could repair and/ or replace the broken part. He advised to call around, which I did, but bike repair shops kept telling me they don’t carry stationary bike parts, and it was best to contact the manufacturer directly assuming I had a warranty. Fortunately, my warranty was still valid but you know that sinking feeling you get (and the negativity of being stuck at home for two long) made think contacting DMASUN for a solution was a long shot.Left with few alternatives, I emailed DMASUN and explained what had happened. Look for the silver lining, folks because it’s out there sometimes! “Nancy” worked patiently and promptly with me from afar. I supplied the pics and a lot shorter explanation of what had happened – LOL – and this DMASUN rep got clearance to send me a brand new stationary bike. The turn around time was terrific – 2 weeks – is a gift in itself, but when a company takes the approach that the customer is always right and delivers on the promise to make the customer happy – hey now!DMASUN is doing its best to blaze a trail and I am grateful. Whether or not they know it, some of us riders really depend on it for our physical AND mental wellbeing. It helped usher in a physical routine for my kid, too, and parents out there, you know what I’m saying! Sitting is the new smoking. Our kids gained weight that we adults never did because of these extreme circumstances. DMASUN has become a household name for us, will it for you?
