My 4th Fitbit! Still love ’em!
I’ve used a Fitbit for tracking my exercise and health goals for almost a decade now. I’m continually impressed with the newer features and improvements. My prior Fitbit was a Charge 4 which worked great, but had an unfortunate design flaw that eventually led to it dying…its band prongs on both sides of the bezel were somewhat flimsy and broke after a few years of wear. Now, one can expect to get about two to three years out of a Fitbit, so I wasn’t heartbroken, but the new Charge 6 eliminates this issue by moving the band prongs to the band side! Now, if anything were ro break under stress, it would be the band, not the bezel. This is a much more feasible solution to a relatively basic problem. Otherwise, not much to report other than the Charge 6 works extremely well, looks terrific, and is very easy to set up. Zero complaints from me!

    Best purchase of 2024
I have delayed purchasing a smart watch but the value for the functionality of this watch was well worth it. The info I get from the sleep tracking has been a great help. I have a better idea of my activity level, which is actually a lot more than I thought. I didn’t use it to track exercise (yet) but that would be a valuable feature if you do. It also has the feature for tracking your stress management techniques. (To see how breathing exercises lower heart rate, etc)I love that it tracks oxygen variants while you sleep. It’s not to be used to diagnose anything but helpful to know if you suspect apnea. It’s also good to know that it will detect afib. It’s also water proof since it’s meant to be worn while swimming. It’s easy to connect with Bluetooth and get only the notifications you choose. It has quick response options to respond to tests. It is NOT great for phone calls however it works well enough to answer until you can get to your phone or if you have your phone hooked up to earbuds, car speaker, etc.Shockingly the feature I use the most is to check the time!It comes with two watch bands, one longer than the other so it should fit anyone.Cons:It does have Google pay, but few credit/debit cards allow you to use watch pay. So even if you use it on your phone, it does not mean you can use that card on your watch. The watch face designs are limited and unimpressive.Overall, I am extremely happy that I bought this watch.

I really liked this tracker, but…
I really liked this tracker, especially for the heart and sleep monitoring. However, I found the face is too small and the touch interface unresponsive. It’s a tradeoff: it’s small, light, and easy to wear, but it obviously makes the screen small. The double tap didn’t always work, which is important when interacting with it. There are only four gestures: tap, double tap, swipe left-right, or swipe up-down.The sensors work well except for the SO2, which I never understood because it would say, “No measurements in the last 24 hours,” but then display a graph and sometimes a reading. Also note that the heart rhythm monitoring is not passive. That means you need to periodically run an app that records and evaluates the ECG.Other than that, it was great at tracking my heart rate and resting pulse. The sleep analysis is astounding.

Switching from Garmin. glad I did
Switching easily with low learning curve. Sorry I waited so long.Pros: Steps, HR and sleep way better monitoring! Like night and DAY better than what I’ve dealt with for 4 yrs! I knew I was working harder and harder but prior expensive watch was NOT picking up and I was exhausting myself. Love the graphs and connects to my food app in a blink. Came with 2 bands which was awesome as I’m tiny boned wrist.Iffy stuff but worth it:Cost good as you have to have a subscription of some type. At the sales price I could afford it.Can’t seem to figure out how to set stride length or other custom stuff as all of that is on consulmer utubes it looks like. Sorta odd but whatever. It will just have to wait for now. Also noticed it’s burning thru my phone battery, super fast so had to stop backgrounds. Need to be aware of the data they collect – sorta spooky but amendable.Con’s: None for the device itself reallly so far. It did count my HR at 170 at 2.5 miles per hour the 1st day and I had to stop and check it with 2 other medical devices to be sure I was okay….but calmed the hell down after that and hasn’t done it again.Only complaint:The app is crap on the phone IMHO but I am an experienced in fitness athlete. There is a huge amount of “work outs for you” bunk on there. I haven’t found one in the last week that doesn’t make me want to hurl. All are led by these hyperactive fake young (like super young) folks. Fitbit! Shame on you – that group doesn’t have the money OTHER folks have AND The population trends for fitness are NOT in the 20 something ranges long term. Wake up fitbit. Nobody wants to see a perky stick person working out while they try to get fit. if they quite working out you won’t be selling replacements now will you?

I’ve been using the Google Fitbit Charge 6 for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic fitness tracker with some solid improvements over previous models. I also find that it meets my needs and is less pricey compared to the Apple watch.Pros:-Pretty Accurate Health Tracking – The heart rate and sleep tracking seem even more precise than before, and it now integrates better with Google Fit.- Bright & Clear Display – The screen is easy to read, even in direct sunlight, and the touchscreen is responsive.-Reliable Battery Life – I get around 5–7 days per charge, depending on usage, which is great for a tracker with so many features.-Workout & Stress Tracking – It offers a variety of exercise modes, plus ECG & stress management tools, which help keep me on track with my fitness goals.Cons:-Subscription for Premium Features – Some features require Fitbit Premium, which is a bit frustrating.-Band wears out quickly – The included band is comfortable but it wears quickly requiring frequent replacements

Unable to charge on the 1st day after purchasing. Sent back with RMA but still cannot charge after replacement. worst charging design ever on a smart watch. Buy with caution!
