This saw was built a little cheaper than I had expected. It does not feel like a solid tool, but still suitable for the limited use that I plan for it. If I were using it regularly or more harshly, I would expect to upgrade to a better quality saw.

Didn’t Last one Trip…
Don’t have any photo’s unfortunately because I just left it on the mountain. If you are looking for a Camping saw for Backpacking or Multi Day Trips this is not the one, from what I can see there are no good cheap options on amazon so I would just go to your local home depot and get a folding bow saw.Firstly, I will admit that the conditions were horrific, 10Hrs of Rain with 30 MPH Winds and Visibility was horrible on this mountain face no less. Regardless, After needing to use the saw to start a fire and get a bunch of hypothermic guys warm this thing didn’t last 30 minutes cutting a log no more than 4 inches thick into sections. What seemed to have failed was the locking mechanism and the plastic that holds it, it simply just wouldn’t lock in the straight position to saw properly and wouldn’t stay closed therefore being a mess if I put it in my bag open. I honestly would have at least given this more than one star if it was the blade that failed and not the safety lock but that in itself makes this product dangerous for professionals and even consumers who would let their kids use this on a family outing.JUST GO TO HOME DEPOT OR LOWES!

Good for yard work, wouldn’t rely on this while camping.
You get what you pay for. I’m not experienced with these saws, so i bought this low cost saw to see what the quality would be.On the positive side: It cuts as expected, and the grip is firm rubber. I haven’t tested this long term or in rough conditions though.On the negative: The blade is quite loose when extending (you can adjust this with a screwdriver). The outer lock mechanism feels rough and cheap. There’s no locking mechanism when the blade is folded, so I improvised with hair ties to keep it folded during transport. Saws like this can really tear up your backpack if you don’t secure it properly.
