Not five stars for two reasons:1. The stand cannot be tightened completely and always has a slight lean to it..yes, I know there is a nut under the bottom, but it is as tight as it goes.2. why would a sticker be on the lamp that makes it look like they are buttons that can be pressed? I see a small bulb in the lamp pole, and I assume thats for the sensor.The wifi is off and on, I do like the iphone app when it decides to connectIt would be a nice lamp if maybe another group of engineers that actually know what the average person wants in a high-tech lamp.I would recommend this because the style is simple, the features are usable and worthy, but the price is a bit too high for what it delivers.Highly recommended

Not a SAD lamp
While this lamp is good, it was advertise as a SAD lamp which is what I was in the market for since winters are long and hard where I live. It only reaches 6500lux not the full 10000lux that makes a SAD lamp effective. It was easy to assemble, but the controls were finicky on the lamp itself so Bluetooth pairing and the app are very much needed to get full use out of it. Another main concern was overall sturdiness of it. It can be a little wiggly once built, the base was sturdy and heavy which provide some ease of mind.

The light works well, and it’s pretty bright in the area it covers.However, the controls are not my favorite thing: i often have to touch the power button twice to power it on or off, and the remote feels flimsy and is a little unreliable.So it gets good marks for brightness, but the unfortunate control situation knocks it down a point.I’d really like to find a lamp like this with a physical power switch, so I can just use a smart outlet or wall switch to turn it on
