Perfect for backpacking
Worked like a charm. Took it out for a 4 day trip backpacking it through the Oachita National Forest. Easy to fill with the open mouth, and was able to hang it in a variety of ways with some 550 cord and carabiner. Decent flow rate and holds a decent amount of water. 4 of us on the trip and we were able to keep our canteens filled without too many trips. Packed up small and light when done being used.

Small, compact, ideal
Great for taking on long hikes or camping. Ideal for if ever needing water where there is not clean water. Will always take hiking and camping with me.

Bladder is great and the rest of the system is great, but I’m not sure I trust the filter itself.
First off. I did not get this for the filter. I was looking for the design of the bladder and with the price of this just for the bladder, it’s a good price. After my initial testing I found the flow rate to be a bit on the high side. Great flow rate sure, everyone likes that, right? Not necessarily. The higher the flow rate the larger the gaps in the filter membrane, meaning that it might not be able to filter everything you’d want it to be filtering. I need to do some more indepth testing of the water under a high powered microscope, so I can’t say yah or nah for certain yet, but better safe than sorry.

Performance was flawless
Was on a six day elk hunt first time ever in the back country. Work flawless cleaning water from streams and creeks with no problem at all. Easy to use very portable and fast. Planning on getting another for in the camper.

Please respectively, do not buy this.
I have used survival gear for indoors and outdoors for 30 years. This product failed in almost every way and I have to believe it was an anomaly. However. I am not going to walk the 5 miles to a place where I can ship it back and I don’t think they will pay for an Uber so I simply will go back to a product that worked well. The seal in the bag after one month started coming loose. The connection where the hose meets the seal became unfit over time – 2 months mark it was dripping – 3 month mark I was losing half the unfiltered water per load. The hose is not the most appropriate thickness – its hard to use and difficult to pack – its unnecessary for it to be that way. LOOK at your competitors – the ones who do well, theirs is awesome. Disappointed in many ways – hoping you will start over in 2025 and do a redesign. I will try it next year if you do. Cheers

Water filler
It good enough to have enough water by going on trail.

Decent design
I have a few water filtering systems, but not a gravity fed. We do a lot of off-grid camping when we’re off-roading during the weekends and you can never have enough water. We camp near relatively clear streams and filter water if we don’t have enough left in our 5 gallon jugs. This gravity fed water filter works quite well. The top fill design is great, but it’s hard for me to pre-filter the water when using this. With my older pump style filtration system, I would place a coffee filter on the pre-filter and help reduce sediment from clogging it up, thus extending the life of the filter. But this, you scoop up the water and start filtering. I guess I will see how long a filter lasts before I need to replace it.One thing I wish I had payed attention to, this doesn’t mention filtering viruses. I don’t know how much of a threat that is in our waterways, but all my other filtration systems specifically list viruses. I suppose though as long as you know and trust the water supply you’re getting your water from, it’s not an issue.Overall I’m pretty happy with this set up. It kinda reminds me of an IV bag and drip when in use. We have used it a few times and the filter seems to have a good amount of life left in it. We will see how long it lasts, but we do use pretty clean water from a stream when we’re dry-camping. Aside from that though, it’s also good to have in an emergency. We all see what happens when bad weather impacts and area and services aren’t available for days or weeks. Having clean water is a must.

Took this gravity water filter on my first hiking trip after the long winter. Easy to set up, clear instructions, and super convenient to use. The seal holds well, no leaks at all. Iâll definitely bring it on future hikes. Highly recommended if youâre also into hiking!
