This Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher is exactly what I was looking for! It has plenty of power to crush my carrots, broccoli, celery and other fibrous and/or hard vegetables to make a wonderful vegie smoothy for my lunches. I love eating healthy and this unit makes it easy to reach that goal. With my 19″ tall cabinets, the whole unit assembled with lid still leaves me 5″ of room to store it under the cabinet. I know this is a blender I will use for many years!! Highly recommended! FYI it was a return item that was in all the original packaging and absolutely NO signs of being used!!

Overall decent blender, but if you want to make smoothies or bowls. find another option
I kind of figured at the price point ($50) there is a good chance this thing would not be very good at smoothies or bowls, and I was correct. It says it has ice crushing power, I disagree, It struggled to blend ice and frozen fruit (Bananas, strawberries, and blueberries) By the time I got the consistency, it was basically thawed and liquid. It works great for non-frozen vegetables and making sauces. Cleaning is as simple as filling with water and adding dish soap and running on the clean setting. however, there is a lot of gunk that stays below the blades on the grommet. Not a very good design with the cleaning function. you need to take this thing apart to thoroughly clean it after each use or it will get funky down there. For $50 dollars a good blender for those occasional uses. If you blend a lot or want to make smoothies, I would look elsewhere. The only plus is that it has a glass bowl. My Ninja had a plastic that eventually cracked and leaked after about 7 years of occasional use. So I was specifically looking for glass.
