Rosacea is a common skin condition that primarily affects the face, causing redness, visible blood vessels, and often small, red, pus-filled bumps. People with rosacea often seek treatments that can manage and reduce facial redness, as well as specific products like redness relief moisturizers and anti-redness creams.
Customers say
Customers find the moisturizer effective at soothing and hydrating skin, with one noting it leaves it hydrated all day long. The cream receives positive feedback for its quality and pleasant smell, and customers appreciate that it’s not greasy. While some customers consider it worth the price, others find it expensive. However, several customers report that the product does not reduce redness at all.

So glad I bought this!
I bought this to use as my new moisturizer in my skincare routine as someone that has a lot of facial redness, and I love it. I can already tell a difference in how my skin looks, it definitely calms the redness down. It doesnât have a weird smell or leave a greasy residue like other moisturizers Iâve tried. It leaves my skin feeling soft and âcooled down.â Iâm always hesitant to try new skin products, but Iâm so glad I tried this one. It doesnât take much to use so I believe with how well it works and how long itâll probably last me it was worth every penny and Iâll definitely buy it again.

Redness Relief!!
i canât say enough good things about Hey Honey Relax! itâs honestly a lifesaver for my sensitive skin! Iâve struggled with skin redness and irritation for years, and this product has completely transformed my routine. From the very first use, I noticed how calming it felt on my skin. Itâs lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesnât leave any greasy residue, which is a huge plus for me since I have combination skin. The ingredients are what really sold me, honey and propolis are like magic for calming inflammation, and the aloe vera adds this refreshing, cooling effect. My skin feels so soft and hydrated after using it, but the best part is how much itâs helped reduce the skin redness on my cheeks. Iâve even used it as a spot treatment on dry patches, and it works wonders. If you have sensitive or redness-prone skin, I canât recommend this enough.

Really Works
Ive been using Hey Honey Relax for about six months now, and itâs truly a great product. Itâs gentle enough for my very sensitive skin, and I actually enjoy using it. It works fast to calm the extreme skin redness on my face, and I definitely notice a difference when I use it consistently. I also really appreciate that it’s now fragrance-freeâsuch a thoughtful update!

Almost perfect !
This moisturizer has been great for my skin. I have mild rosacea and this tones it down a lot and leaves my skin nice and smooth instead of blotchy and rough, without being greasy or heavy. I tend to have dry skin but get oily in the t-zone and this has helped reduce the oil by quite a bit. The smell is nice too! The only drawbacks are the cost and also that by the end of the day my skin is a bit dry again. (I live in a dry climate (CO) though, so that could be to blame.)

It actually works…
I’ve always had red, or “rosy cheeks” my whole life and getting older my face seems to be getting reder, so I decided to try this product I was a bit hesitant to purchase given the price, but I said ok, it has good reviews online.. I received the cream 2 days ago and I must say just after 2 days of using this cream (twice a day) the redness and irritation has subsided by at least 30-40%, I developed these wierd bumps on my right cheek and those are gone aswell…. I’m truly happy with the results as of now…

Big difference with just 2 applications
Earlier this week my cheeks and nose were bright red. My skin was irritated and burned. I tried this lotion and noticed an instant calm after my first application. The 1st picture is a clean face before I used the product. The 2nd picture is a clean face after 2 uses. The pictures show the proof! Zero edits, filters or changed lighting. 100% natural.I can’t wait to continue to see progress!!! My skin is ultra sensitive to products. Many times even sensitive skin made products feel like they are burning my skin and leave it irritated. From a true sensitive skin user, you will not be disappointed!

It works for me.
I purchased this product for the first time in Dec. 2024. It is the first moisturizer that I have used that helps with facial redness on my skin. For those with facial redness, I have also found that increasing my water intake seems to also help.

Just donât do it. 4/5 previously down to 1/5
I shouldâve given this more time before reviewing. Unfortunately this became a severely problematic product fast.As noted in the OG review (below), I have hypersensitive skin + rosacea. This product worked for a few weeks, but then I started getting what looked like a âhistamine rashâ all over my neck, chest, and creeping up my face. This was the only fragranceâd product I use, so it was the first I cut out when the rash turned into painful contact dermatitis.Within a week, the dermatitis lessened dramatically, but still had some texture and left an added, slight pinkness to the skin.Even though I knew it had the highly irritating Limonene and Linalool in it (breakdown under *Fragrance ingredients), I wanted to make sure before I completely cut this out of my routine.Well, Iâm dumb. I lit up even worse than before. My skin fissured and bled from the cracks. This is NOT safe for hypersensitive-skinned folks. Just donât.On top of that, after doing further research, apparently Propolis can be a huge agitator for rosacea and fragrance-sensitive skinned people. Oy. This was just a sneaky bust. Gentle enough to âtrickâ me for a few weeks, but quickly became a painful problem.Itâs been a while since this happened, but it took well over 6 weeks to repair my skin barrier after that. (For that, I used just Avéneâs Tolerance Balm day and night, and Avéneâs Cicalfate+ zinc cream to help rebuild the barrier at night over all this time. Just last week I reincorporated Adapalene gel for acne prevention and anti-aging support slowly, and Iâm happy to announce that the barrier is fully in tact! Meaning no reactions to the retinoid. Phew!)Needless to say, skip this product if you are fragrance-sensitive, or have rosacea. Maybe itâll help a blush of pink in the skin, but for more than that, just donât.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Hey Honey Relax! is an exquisite cream unlike anything Iâve tried before. Although it has (to me) a light but potent honeysuckle(?) scent, itâs actually gentle and safe for hyper-sensitive skin (AMENDED: Itâs not safe for us after all). I was shocked, to be completely honest. When I first smelled it, I thought, âCrap. I canât put this on my faceâ¦â But I was feeling brave. The scent is divine, and although Iâm not a cosmetic chemist, the ingredients listed (outside of *Fragrance) were all on my mental âOK List,â so I just went for it. (AMENDMENT: Then I checked the website and say âfragranceâ is composed of Limonene and Linaloolâhighly irritating.)Hereâs my gripe:As someone with Sahara-dry skin, Iâm not sure where to âplaceâ this moisturizer.Itâs not *moisturizing* enough to be a standalone moisturizer for dry and very dry skin. Itâs skin benefits could be good, but, since itâs not the consistency of a serum, itâs essentially just âanother layerâ for dry skin types. Again, yes, it could have benefits, but it canât replace a moisturizing step for me, so really all it is is an added lotion-layer that creates a âmask-likeâ feeling on the skin seeing that I still need more on top of it.Does that make sense?Like all âAll skin typesâ moisturizers Iâve ever used, itâs benefits are outweighed by the fact that itâs just another layer to risk pilling or creating that heavy, overly-layered feeling on the skin. Iâve found myself preferring âessences,â toners and serums as Iâm getting âwiserâ (Ahem: Older). Geared toward the right skin type, Iâve found more benefits in those lighter formulations, as layering a moisturizer or two on top of them doesnât leave a feeling over âtoo muchâ on the skin.I hope this makes sense. What would make this a 5/5 is if Hey Honey split it into two formulations, and added, say, glycerine and/or urea to its Normal/Dry skin type version. Could I mix them in myself? Sure. But then Iâd ruin the formulation, and just make it feel even heavier. That job needs a cosmetic chemist to work out the formulation kinks. All in all, after a monthâs use: I recommend this product to people who donât have dry skin. Itâs non-irritating (AMENDED: No, itâs not), noncomedogenic, and a beautiful kiss of a moisturizer. But if you have dry and very dry skin, you might want to consider serums and toners that absorb fully for the benefits this cream offers, because itâs frankly not a standalone moisturizer. With that said, Iâm still on the fence about whether to keep this in my routine or ditch it (UPDATE: I ditched it). I have two tubes (purchased for my morning and evening organizing bins that are in a drawer and under my sink), so I have some time to think about it. For now, Iâve relegated it to just the evening time, when I tend to heavily layer skincare anyways. But this is where the price tag kicks in: Is it worth it? Is it actually doing anything in complement to my existing serums and toners? Iâm still not sure.Iâll update later if I decide to keep it in the line-up.UPDATE: I didnât. It burned, stung, split and cracked my skin, and has left me with pink, raised lines where my skin fissured. Skip this. Itâs a slippery skin-wrecker of a product.0/5
