    Perfect
There is a learning curve to get the adjustments just right. When I got them right I was very impressed. I have a herniated disc in my back. So for many months I was resting. Good for my back, maybe, but not good for my knees. I am over 70 years old and I didn’t have the strongest knees to begin with. With no exercise for months my knees got incredibly weak. It hurt to climb up or down stairs. Left knee feeling like it would blow out. With this brace I have no fear of a blow out. It looks like the same brace football players wear.

Fitting Is Complicated For One Person
The first line in the instruction leaflet is the product should be fitted by your orthopedic technician. This is good advice since there are many moving parts and I found the fitting quite difficult. The instructions are poorly written and the diagrams are small, making it hard to understand what is being shown. Typos, such as “to tighten the straps, poll on them” don’t instill much confidence in the product. The first step of fitting the brace should be to fully loosen the straps and buckles, but this is not mentioned. Be careful with the fastening clips because they can fall off easily when loosening the straps. There are red friction clips that can be lifted to adjust the length of the telescopic hinge bars. The metal side struts are marked 1-4 on the top and 1-5 on the bottom, yet the instructions do not cover how to select the proper length at all. The length indicators are black on black which make them almost impossible to read from the side. The adjusting steps 11, 12 and 13 should be steps 1, 2 and 3, since the range of motion cannot be adjusted while wearing the brace. The settings are dark red and dark blue lines and numbers on a black background, so again almost impossible to read without a lot of light and a direct view. The adjustment hub should have a white background! The plastic stops fit into slots on the side of the central hub and physically block the metal hinge bars from moving past a certain angle. There is little leverage for moving these plastic stops while worn. Also, the first step of the adjustment should have been to unlock the hinge by sliding the quick fastening button up, yet this is the last thing mentioned. These adjustments really need to be done before fastening the brace on the leg.The are two sections of fitting instructions, X-ROM Cool and X-ROM Full, but there is no explanation of the difference or why one would be used instead of the other. The X-ROM Full instructions start with separating the thigh and calf wraps from the “orthosis”. The orthosis is the entire knee brace, so I don’t understand how to separate the wraps or for what purpose. This is not explained or illustrated. The knee brace cushions are firm, but soft, so the brace is comfortable once fitted. But the poorly organized instructions, incomplete information, and questionable engineering design choices made this much more difficult to fit than it should have been.

    Too complex for me
I’m sure the unit will work well for some, but I found it very complicated to manipulate. There are a lot of moving parts and adjustments that need to be made for it too work well. The instructions could use more diagrams. It’s text heavy which is fine but it would be helpful if they pointed to more images. I finally got too frustrated and gave up. I understand that is a me issue. Your results may be better.

A little complicated at first but supportive
I couldn’t wait to get this on after an injury to my knee I really needed the extra support so as soon as it came I was excited to get it set up. It did take quite a while to figure out how to get everything adjusted properly it’s not very user friendly in the sort of learning how to use it so that was a bit frustrating and why I took off a star. But once it’s on and fully set up and adjusted to your needs it is very supportive it has good cushioning overall a decent brace but a bit pricey

    Great brace
I love this brace. It works amazingly well and is very comfortable after I got straps fitted (by the way it does fit bigger legs). I was able to get set for me just using the settings available on the dial. I have lived in a lot of different braces over my years and this is one of the easier ones to use and the price isn’t horrible either compared to others. I definitely would recommend this brace.

This knee brace is well made and can help ease the burden of a knee injury
This hinged knee brace is very well made, and includes set screws, and an allen wrench to ensure you have the perfect fit. This brace is great for stabilizing the knee after injury, or post surgery. The brace will fit either a left, or right leg, and has a good range of motion. It took me less than five minutes to install the brace on my leg, and adjust the set screws.I feel this brace is a good value, and it is well made. I recommend it to anyone needing extra knee support after an injury.
