Seems to work well
Have been using this for several days now and it appears to be working well and is relatively easy to use. There was plenty of info about high BP in the brochure but there was nothing about low BP, which is what I am dealing with. Would also like to see healthy alternatives to the plastic packaging.

HowMedics Blood Pressure Monitor
So I bought this as it is recommended that you replace your blood pressure monitor every few years. Mine was at least 5 years old (Omron) but still seemed to work well. At any rate this device is more compact than the Omron but seems to be a quality build. The arm sleeve is a bit lighter material than the Omron and I wonder over time and use if it will hold up as well. I took my blood pressure with both within a couple minutes of each other and the systolic pressure was exactly the same and the diastolic only a couple mm different. (guess I didnt need to replace the old one) I’ll use the new one for travel as it more compact. So it seems to work fine, nicely packaged, arrived on time and the only difference is the quality of the sleeve and who knows maybe the Omron sleeve has changed too.

Extremely excessive compression
No, don’t do it. This devise when activated pumps the sleeve to exceed 280. This pressure could squeeze the last drop of juice from an orange. Imagine what it’s like on your arm. Far exceeding the required compression, it is painful, and actually cut off the circulation to my hand causing tingling from lack of circulation. Either this is specific devise is defective, or generally of poor engineering for the function we desired. I would recommend a purchaser retain the packaging to provide for a return.

Great customer service
I received the uni and used it for a week, but the readings seemed to be too high. I know my BP s a little high, but not that high. I had my BP taken the “old fashioned” way to compare.I raised an issue with customer service and they exchanged it for a new unit that works much better.I can’t say I’m happy with the readings now (my BP is still a bit high), but the readings seem to be accurate.
