There is So Much to Love About This Hydration Pack
I have owned brand name Camelbacks and other big-name ones, but I like this one better. The main reason is that the bladder where the liquid goes opens wide at the top so I can pour ice into it before heading out, and so that I can clean it out easily after use. It has always bugged me that it’s so hard to clean out the bladder on the other brands. The bladder itself on this one isn’t all that big, but now that I’m older and not running 50Ks any longer, this is plenty good for my needs. The top of the bladder folds over and is secured with something that looks like a baggie zipper, but it’s the whole length of the opening. Nothing is going to leak out of the top. Another think I like is the bite valve. It pulls out like a water bottle when I want a drink, then clicks back shut for no leaks there, either. It also has a cover that snaps on to keep it clean if you’re riding or running in dusty conditions or if you throw the pack into the trunk of the car before heading out. It will stay clean. There is a big zipper compartment on the back where I can stow larger snacks, a bandana, or other items that won’t fit in the front. The back also has a place to secure my jacket after getting warm, and that is an adjustable netting sort of thing. On the front of the vest are two roomy pockets where I can put smaller items like a chapstick, a few Tylenols, and smaller snacks like my favorite, gummy bears. I usually wear shorts or tights that have a leg pocket for my phone, but there is a pocket big enough for my giant phone with its bulky case. I’ll use that pocket for something else. This backpack is comfortable, and I can adjust it just so and it won’t bounce at all. There is reflective tape on front for extra safety when I have to head out before sunrise. There is a small reflective tape on the back, but I can hang a blinky on the back at the top, too. There are little straps on both the left and the right to thread the hose through on the front to keep it handy. I can’t think of a thing that would improve this except maybe a way to secure the bite valve to the chest. This is a great hydration pack!

    Approved for Arizona summers!
This is an excellent little hydration pack and approved for staying hydrated during Arizona outings! On back-to-back days here in the Phoenix area last week, there were rescues on hiking trails due to hikers not being properly hydrated. And we’re having a mild spring (temps in the 80s and 90s instead of 100s). Take hydration seriously, folks, even if you don’t live in AZ. Hydration packs like these are a great way to stay hydrated, pack some essentials, and keep your hands free for other things. I like to hit the trails as light as possible (apart from my camera). Carrying a water bottle in my hand is not ideal, but neither is having to fish a bottle out of traditional backpack. Hydration packs like this are awesome. With this pack, you have plenty of space for snacks, keys, wallet, a light jacket, and even a small camera along with 2 liters of water. And you never have to pull the pack off to get to it thanks to the convenient hydration tube that is always at the ready to quench your thirst. The pack itself is super light but looks & feels well-made. It is very breathable and has plenty of storage areas to keep things accessible and organized. See my video for a complete rundown. You’ll find other hydration packs in this price range, but this one ticks all the boxes and is competitively priced. I’m looking forward to getting plenty of use out of it on my outings here in AZ this year (and beyond). Recommended.

Bag Nerd Approved! Awesome Hydration Setup
I LOVE this product – and as someone who’s more than a little picky when it comes to bags, that’s saying something. The Blue Quartz Hydration Backpack delivers a ton of thoughtful features at a really solid price point. The 2L reservoir feels comparable in quality to CamelBak, at least in my opinion. It has a fold-and-slide top closure that I actually prefer over the traditional circular lid—it’s way easier to hang dry and feels pretty secure. The reservoir pocket is clearly insulated, which is a great bonus for keeping water cool. The overall size is great, though it does look a little small on my 6’0, heavier frame – but it still wears comfortably. When the bladder is full, the main compartment space is somewhat limited, but there’s an extra pocket at the top and even mesh pockets on the shoulder straps for small gear or snacks. One of my absolute favorite features is the deployable mesh helmet holder (which doubles as a mini beavertail!) – you can stow it in the lower rear pocket when you’re not using it. It clips in with these satisfyingly cool toggles, and I love that kind of design detail. The bungee cord on the back is also handy for things like towels or a light layer. It doesn’t necessarily feel ultra-premium, but it also doesn’t feel cheap, and I have no concerns about it holding up. It’s a great value with a lot of smart design choices that really make it stand out.If you’re looking for a hydration pack with personality, great function, and solid comfort, this one is absolutely worth checking out. I love it.

    It’s okay
I needed this for mountain biking. I have a camelbak that I like much better. The nozzle to the bladder does not release enough liquid when biting on it.
