A must for cooking on a black stone
Absolutely love this! Bought it for cooking with a black stone so I can keep track cooking temperature. And it seems to be very accurate and super easy to use. It makes it so easy to control the temperature of the cooking surface. Itâs fairly good quality, not sure how long the batteryâs are going to last but Iâve had it probably going on a year and itâs still on the batteryâs that came with it. Well worth the purchase. Iâm about to order another one just like it to keep in my camper.

It seems to work just fine with slight variation on readings
Been using for my pizza oven. I have not calibrated against a known object which is not it’s fault but I am taking one star just not knowing how accurate and that it does vary temps with consecutive readings but not anything i consider significant. I would buy it again after a fair number of uses holding up same battery.

Got it for my firestone, it reads the temperature instantly and since it has the laser you can tell exactly what part youre checked the temp of, Easy to use just aim and pull the trigger button, Build out of solid plastic materials hasn’t melted on me yet.

Good at a certain range
I use this to judge roasted coffee and roaster temperatures. You need to be uncomfortably close to the heat source, but at that distance the temp reading is in the ballpark of the temps I set.It’s of zero use through glass. This is in no way a precision instrument but it somewhat serves my purpose.
