I bought this because I tried something similar at my daughter’s house. I have edema in my ankles, andthis offered relief from that for a few hours. It came in a large box, not really heavy considering the size. Well packaged in Styrofoam, and a plastic bag. I just plugged it in, and set it in front of the couch, sat down and put my feet into the leg openings, and pressed ( I think) On, then auto. Started right up.It came with a remote control. Not really needed, but keeps you from having to bend forward as the unit is working.You can control:The rate of foot massage. Off, slow-1, 2, faster-3The rate of leg massage, Off 1,2,3Vibration on/off ( It’s called ‘shock’)Heat on/off. I did not use that, it was hot enough here ;-)Press timer to bump the time up by 5 minutesAt first it felt a bit uncomfortable, but after a few minutes. it felt fine. Maybe it takes a bit of getting used to.Overall, Pleased as this was on the low end of prices

Worth the money
Extremely easy to use, remote works fine, three settings for the speed or the vibration. Definitely is an in-depth massage, I can see why some people says it hurts. I think it feels great, I wear a size 10 in womenâs and my feet fit perfectly fine. The pressure coming from the sides feels great. I work on my feet all day and this massager feels like a winner

Works well for relieving foot pain
I purchased this as a gift for my wife. She suffers from Plantar Faciitis. Though it’s fairly well controlled with her special shoes, she’ll still be in pain after being on her feet all day. But only 15 minutes in this Foot and Calf Massager and she’s nearly pain-free. It’s the first thing she does when she gets home from work. She’s said that she actually looks forward to using it. She’s had it for a week and uses it for about 30 minutes a day (two 15 minute sessions) and so far it has performed well.Overall, I think this was worth the price and would recommend it to those looking for a good foot massage and a passable calf massage.Here are a couple of things she said it does well and some that it doesn’t:THE GOOD- The foot massage function works well on all 3 intensity settings. It can be a bit too intense at first but she said it quickly passes and becomes very enjoyable. She’s fairly ticklish and is able to handle it.- The calf massage does a good job of working the entire calf.- Vibration is OK-ish. Seems like it could be a bit more powerful but the force of the vibration may be getting dampened because we use our unit on a thick rug.THE LESS THAN GOOD- The heat function only barely gets warm – it’s almost not noticeable. it takes a long time to warm up – 15 minutes at least. I thought the heat function was completely broken but that wasn’t a deal breaker for the wife so I didn’t bother returning it. Turns out, it just takes a really long time to warm up and then it doesn’t get all that warm.- The interface is sort of confusing – it’s only like 7 buttons but it’s kind of puzzling who to combine different functions for a customized massage. And setting the time period to a specific interval appears to be completely up to luck – you can set it to approximately the time you want. You want 15 minutes? Maybe you’ll get 17 minutes or 12. It’s a surprise! The included manual is not much help.- To get the full benefit of the calf massage you have to actively push your calves into the back of the slot while sort of fighting against the side massagers’ tendency to push your calves forward and out of the slot. Makes is sort of difficult to just relax and let the calf massage function do it’s thing.- It’s big. I know the description has the dimensions – and they are accurate – but I was still surprised by how large it is. My wife struggles moving it around so most evenings it maintains a place of prominence in our living room until I get tired of walking around it and relocate it to the corner.- My wife is 5ft 3in (1.6m) tall and her lower legs are just barely long enough to sit with them bent and still reach to the bottom of the footwell. If you’re shorter than that, you may not be able to use this from a fully seated position.

Painful for wide feet
OK, I bought this a a Christmas present for myself. I took it out of the box, put my feet in it and turned it on. I thought for sure it was going to crush the bones in my feet. My feet hurt soo bad.I am not a wimp. And I can tolerate pain. I’ve been an auto mechanic and welder for my life’s work.So, I surprised myself by letting out a yell of pain.I turned it off and looked at the reviews. Several 1 stars said the same thing. But having a lot of positive reviews, I started to analyze. Maybe my feet are too wide! I wear a 10.5D shoe. So I tried it again withmy hands in it. It started crushing my hands but I can tolerate a higher level of pain in them. As it backed off I turned my hands sideways and that felt better. Much better.So, I put my feet in it but turned them sideways. I had to move the machine right up under my feetIt felt ok, but not a relaxing pressure! Also, not a comfortable way it sit. Some reviews said that the massage rollers were too sharp. I agree, it feels like hard plastic instead of softer rubber.I also really wanted the heat. It only got a little warm. I have a better experience by heating water up to 102 degrees, soaking my feet then massaging them by hand!Someone suggested it would be ok if the side rollers were adjustable. I agree.But hey, it is made in China and we all know how small their feet are, so it no doubt feels fine to them!To be fair, in the description under the heading:3 MODES & SPEEDS & OPEN DESIGN, FITS MOST PEOPLE – â it states âThe open design with 5″ wide foot/calf area can fit most feet size that is smaller than 5″ wide.âMy hands and feet are both 4.5â wide. I stand on my feet for well over 12+ hour a day. Waitress / barista / and then subways and what not. I was really hoping this would work like my last foot massager off here , I think it was the cloud one I just didnât want to spend $230 again. So I bought this and it does what is says but itâs just not as deep or hard as I would need. checkout the white cloud massager , it works very well. feet feel relieved for days.

It doesn’t actually hold your foot with air bags so your foot moves around.They accepted the return, but beware, because they are a 3rd person seller, i had to pay for return shipping, which cost me $70.00 which they did not reimburse. I would not have bought it if i knew about that detail.
