Very versatile, well made, space saving dumbbells
These LIFERUN adjustable dumbbells are terrific. I got the set of 2 5lb dumbbells which they advertised as being adjustable to 3lb, 4lb, or 5lb. But what I have found is that you can also adjust them to 1lb or 2lb. The handle just by itself weighs 1lb, so you can use the handle without any plates to achieve 1lb. You can attach the two center plates, which weigh 0.5lb each, to the handle to achieve 2lb. I have attached photos showing the setup for each weight increment from 1lb – 5lb. They are definitely space saving if you don’t want to have 5 pairs to dumbbells lying around. Plus, since the ends are flat, you can stand them up vertically to take up even less space.All of the parts of the dumbbells are well machined and screw together smoothly. One of the concerns I had about them prior to ordering was whether the plates would come loose and start unscrewing themselves as you work out. But that turns out not to be a concern. There’s a little rubber washer on each of the threaded screw ends which keeps them from coming loose. The foam handles are very comfortable in the hand and gives you a good grip, as well as being pretty sharp looking with the blue stripes. The dumbbells overall are very attractive looking with the shiny chrome finish. They are certainly the best looking weights in my home gym.Being as space saving as they are and easy to adjust, I am keeping them by my home office desk. At any time when I feel like I’ve been too sedentary, I’ll grab these dumbbells to get in some quick toning exercises. I highly recommend them.

Great Starter Set
Our daughter has taken up weightlifting to keep her bones healthy. She requested a set of dumbbells to start her journey.I have used dumbbells at the local gym and am aware that 5 lb. weights are a great, all-round weight class for women. I’ve read that women have more natural weight lifting ability in their lower extremities; men in their upper extremities, thus, 5lb. is a good place for her to start.These dumbbells are surprisingly well made. They have an alloy steel handle with foam grips & alloy steel end plates that are adjustable to accommodate different weights. This “smallest” set comes with a total of 5 lb. on each end plate. You can adjust the weight up or down by unscrewing/rescrewing the 2 levels on each end to instead, have free weights that come to 3 lb. or 4 lb. (You can also purchase a medium and/or large set of weights in this collection that accommodate even larger amounts of weight, up to 15 lb.) The listing is confident that the end plates screw on tightly with “no chance of them coming loose.”I have used various dumbbells in my gym for years and can assure you, they don’t look anywhere as nice and classy as this set does. Our daughter has small hands like her Mom so sometimes grasping a larger dumbbell is more difficult and unsafe. All the way around, this is a great set, I’m pleased to have found it for her & I recommend it.

Exactly what you’d expect and more!
Great construction and finish. Odorless right out of the box. Functional as far as adjustable weights go and the foam grip is a nice added touch as well. These are everything I want out of a lightweight pair of dumbbells!

Variable weights easy to change
I like the possibility to change the weight. The ends seem to loosen a bit but I just check them when I use them to be sure they are tight. Someone said they roll, and that’s a little bit of a draw back, but I just make sure that they are secure.

Great addition to my home gym
This dumbbell set is a lot nicer than I thought it would be. I own different size dumbbells but did not have the 5lb set and decided to order them. This is a great quality dumbbell and I would say even nicer than some of the ones that I own. It even looks attractive to me as well. it is very easy to put together and I love that it can be taken apart when not in use if desired making them easy to travel with. They have a great grip and good weight quality. I do think that they are on the higher end as far as pricing goes but they do offer more than your average dumbbell so i can see why the pricing might be higher. I personally really like it and want to look more into this style of dumbbells. This one is highly recommended

Perfect lighter weights for aerobics
I have been looking for free weights that are adjustable, but also secure and easy to swap around to use in aerobic exercise. These light weight barbells are perfect for this use.The weight plates are easy to change out and remain secure while in use.The grips are comfortable to hold and have a nice balance of weight.The shape is round, which can cause them to roll away if you do not have an exercise mat, and could cause issues with storing, but the small size makes them easily fit anywhere.The pop of color is nice.

Excellent quality
This is a nice set of light dumbbells. The EVA foam is comfortable and nonslip, and the steel ends are nicely finished. I really appreciate that you can make them 3, 4 or 5 pounds without needing three different sets. Even at 5 pounds, they aren’t too big. One feature that would make them even better is if all the weights had a male thread on one side and a female on the other for even more versatility, especially if you combined them with the heavier sets. These have to be screwed together in a particular order. That’s a minor complaint though. For what they are, these are quite nice.
