Great pitcher – some improvements could be made though
This is agreat pitcher for filtering things out. One tweak/improvement: Like I mentioned in the video, I’ve owned lifestraw pitchers before (10 cup, white), and that one did NOT have a loose top but it seems like the black one universally does (this is my replacement obsidian lifestraw pitchers because the first one had cracks in it because it looked like the box was run over by a truck or something). In general, easy to clean, easy to maintain. Water doesn’t pour out when you’re pouring a cup of filtered water unless you JUST refilled it. I’ve had my white lifestraw get micro cracks in the bottom and leak in the past but lifestraw was good about replacing it when that happened under warranty

    love this
perfect for 2 people. theres a 10 cup as well as a 18 cup big one. mine is 7 cups.once full just refill everytime you use it and youll be good to go.this is the only water filter system thats this cheap and cleans bacteria and micro plastics.clean once a week inside water pitcher and outside of filter container with soap and hot water.never use soap on the actual filters. filters slow to me but is so worth it.ill get the 10 cup eventualy as i hate re filling all the time with the 7 cup.

    Almost perfect
Got this because our tap water suddenly started tasting like dirt and chlorine. Lifestraw filters the most out without losing good minerals of the pitchers I looked at, and I LOVE the quality of the water now! I got the silicone bottom add-on due to seeing reviews about cracks, and it seems to have avoided that issue. The round size also fits great in my fridge door!My only complaint is that you have to fill it, wait for it to filter, then fill it again 4-5 times to actually fill the pitcher. This is annoying because it ends up never being full enough. If the reservoir could hold/filter more of the actual pitcher volume at a time, it would be perfect.

Does not filter water. Grunge remains in tap water after putting the water in the “filter”.
I bought this water filter because it was claimed that it removed parasites and microplastics from water. I wanted a filter that would remove parasites from river water so I could use the water from a stream which runs close to where I live, in case the tap water became unavailable in the community. Two of the most common waterborne illnesses are caused by the parasites Cryptosporidium and Giardia intestinalis. Both re common in water flowing in rivers and creeks. So I wanted them removed. The tap water where I live kills all plants that are watered with the tap water. The tap water is so full of grunge, that anywhere the water dries it leaves a brown scum where it dried. Every other filter I own removes the brown grunge. But not this one. I discovered that this filter container has brown rings around it on the inside, which means the water is not being filtered. At all. This means that the design of the filter system is flawed. I doubt very much the filter design was ever tested in real world condition, otherwise they would have discovered grunge rings around the inside of the water pitcher, like I did. I highly recommend against buying this “water filter”, because it does not appear to filter anything.

I’m so happy I invested in this water pitcher!
I had forgotten how great crisp clean pure water is to drink. Bottled water is so unpalatable in comparison. Plus its stylish and just the right size for one or two people. Affordable replacement filters sweeten the pot.

    Good camping filter
I bought this based on a TikTok I saw and love that you don’t have to open it to fill it. The flip lid is awesome. Flow rate does improve over time, so be aware that at first it feels like you are not getting a lot of water into the pre chamber that is normal. The base is pretty wide so unless you have a good depth fridge door I would advise against putting it there. It has cracked the retainer straps on my fridge. All in all nicely packaged and designed water filter with lifestraw quality.

Small cracks despite a good pitcher
I really like the purpose of the pitcher. However I do think there is a design or packaging. The first pitcher I purchased had a hairline crack from the bottom seam extending up that caused a leak. I was easily able to exchange as I figured it was a fluke. The second one I was happy with but kept noticing a water ring when I would pick it up. I dried all surfaces and the pitcher before putting it down and notice the same each time I pick up the pitcher from my counter. I can only come up with the seaming from the bottom piece and the side pieces simply can easily crack. I’m keeping this and I do use it but it’s just a little disappointing.

    They honor their warranty!
I bought this pitcher in September 2023 and have really liked it! The water tastes great to me and I like the ethos of the Lifestraw brand. It filters the water a little slower than other filters I’ve used in the past but that doesn’t really bother me much as a single person household. I have just made a habit of always filling it again after I have used it for a glass of water or to make tea.Like many others in these reviews it started leaking from the base seam about a month ago April-ish 2024. I contacted Lifestraw on their normal website and they replaced it for me. They sent me a whole new pitcher and filter housing which was really nice. I was only expecting the outer pitcher part. For those who were not aware they have a 3 year warranty! Just make sure you purchase this from Amazon LLC and not a third party seller. I do hope they work on this design flaw with the plastic models. The glass version was my ideal pitcher as I try to not use plastic much in my kitchen but I can be clumsy and was afraid I would break that one so I went with the plastic version.

Came scratched and box was rough, so I got a replacement and then 2nd unit was also scratched on the lid and even had rough plastic on the handle. For this price point it’s not living up to my standards. Returned and will buy from a different brand.
