I think I love this thing.
Hate to be that guy, but I loved sawyer over lifestraw for years until I got this bad boy. Excellent fit in my helikon-tex sere kit, and with a couple sawyer connections (gasp) you have an upgraded sawyer squeeze with a higher grade filter and slimmer profile with a higher flow rate. This thing kicks ass and has a super small imprint. F* the price tag and buy it. This this is awesome.

Compact water filter for travel
Smaller than regular life straw. Compact enough for travel. Will fit on a standard bottle of water and easy to use. Value is great as I got it on sale.

Works Yes, Gravity Maybe
Other reviewers have commented that the filter did not fit their water bottles. I tried it on 4 water bottles – and it fit 2 of them. Could be worse. Again the photos showing water magically being transferred between 2 connected bottles is probably not realistic. When I connected 2 bottles with the filter between them, NOTHING HAPPENED. Gravity did not cause the water to flow. I had to squeeze the top bottle to force the water through the filter. However while squeezing, the flow was decent – better than I expected. My best results were using a flat/collapsible water packet. When this was attached as the water source, the water did flow through the filter with gravity only. You can buy just the packets from several retailers on Amazon. (See photo)There is a connection for the “source” that you will need for sure – and you will need a bottle or packet that is the right size to screw on (28mm). It is not necessary to have a particular size for the bottle you are filling – but the “spigot” is small, so a smaller bottle works better. The filter seems to do its job. It seems sturdy. It is also fairly small so can be easily packed.

Life saver – 7 days in Yosemite
We used it for one week in Yosemite backpacking trip – worked flawlessly in combination with Smart water bottle. You will need a bit of strength to squeeze the bottle, but it works as it supposed to.We had two of them – one as backup, but didnât have to use the second.Itâs small and lightweight, perfect for backpacking when every gram countsâ¦The right price including all discounts should be below $17 (so far the best price I have seen was $13.55 – the base price was $16.93 with 20% off coupon on Feb 16 2025)

Easy to use + good filtering
I bought this for a trip to Cuba where I was not sure about getting clean bottled water. I boiled tap water then used this filter before drinking. It cleared out a ton of visible sediment from the water. My wife and I drank this water exclusively during our trip and did not have any ill effects. I’ll definitely bring it with me whenever traveling to somewhere with uncertain water sources!

Small and compact
Have not used it yet. But like the concept that it will screw onto a water bottle. The price was right and I would like to try it.

I absolutely loved using this filter on my ABC trek in Nepal. It kept my mates and I healthy and safe drinking from a wide variety of.. questionable water sources.I will absolutely buy more of these In future. The only problem is we only had one so it took a while to filter water for 4 people

Super efficace !
