This lamp is a good egg
This small lamp fits nicely on a desk or nightstand. The light given off is not as bright as more expensive light therapy lamps, but it’s still bright enough to chase the winter gloom away. I like its design – kind of reminds me of an ostrich egg!If you have a bad case of SAD, spend a little more money and get one of the brighter lamps. If you just need a nice bright light nearby while you work, this lamp does the job.

Attractive Design, But Lacks Brightness
I purchased this sun lamp to replace a malfunctioning one. Although the previous lamp was half the cost, I was attracted to the moon design rather than a clunky tablet-like appearance. It was well packaged with molded plastic to keep it secure during shipping, and the remote is easy to use. Both the lamp and remote have a small footprint, so they don’t require much space.One reviewer mentioned it looks like a big Styrofoam ball, which is accurate. The lamp feels somewhat cheap due to its lightweight nature. It does include a USB port on the side for charging devices, which was not mentioned in the listing.Despite its potential, I am returning it because the listing pictures do not accurately represent the lamp’s brightness. Even at the highest brightness setting and whitest light, it is much dimmer than the one I intended to replace. Additionally, the manual states that the lamp must be 6 to 13.75 inches from your face to be effective, which was not mentioned in the item description. This proximity does not work with my setup.One reviewer noted disappointment with having to pay for a shipping label to return the lamp. This is due to the lithium battery inside (likely in the remote), which prevents Amazon from accepting physical returns. If you can print the label yourself, the return is free, but you will need to box it up yourself.
