Where has this been all my life??
I have seasonal affective disorder in addition to regular ole depression (yay me!), so my therapist suggested getting one of these. Now Iâm wondering where this thing has been my whole life?? I turn it on and it instantly gives me that same warm, happy feeling I get from being in sunshine. It looks just like the moon so it gives the room really great ambience. I love that it has a remote control and different timer settings, too. If you are also a sufferer of SAD, just get the light. Trust me. You wonât regret it.

Wonderful for Help with Sleep, Very Pretty
I work the overnight shift, so it is hard for my body to wake up since it is dark outside when I get up for the ‘day.’ I’ve been having some trouble sleeping (it is difficult going to bed at Noon) and a sleep specialist, when I asked about melatonin supplements, said that the best way to use melatonin is to produce it yourself naturally – by waking up and doing a heart-pumping activity under bright lighting.For a lot of ‘day’ people that might mean waking up and taking a walk or going for a jog in the sunshine, but I can’t do that on my sleep schedule. So I bought this lamp and placed it in my dining room next to my walking pad. It is VERY bright on the highest setting, and pleasantly soothing on the lowest setting. Unlit, it looks sort of cheap but once it is lit: it is beautiful! I appreciate the minimalistic design, too.It is cold and snowy right now where I live, and has been for four months now. I didn’t think a lack of sunlight would be so impactful on a person (especially one who works overnight and doesn’t see the sun much anyhow) but we had a couple of sunny days recently and I felt so alive. Light really does help one’s mood.

There are a number of aspects of this lamp that I find to be appealing, yet there are also a few places in which it may be enhanced. Allow me to share with you the whole of my experience. The ease with which this light therapy lamp may be assembled and put into use was the first thing that impressed me about it. The light can be controlled by the remote control, which is a convenient feature since it enables me to do so without having to get up from my workstation or bed. As a result of the lamp’s sleek and small form, it is simple to place it on my desk or in any other area of my house. Due to the fact that I use it in a variety of areas depending on my requirements, the fact that it does not take up a lot of space is extremely helpful. Because it enables me to tailor the level of brightness to my own tastes, I believe that the stepless brightness adjustment is a really valuable feature. On certain mornings, I need an additional surge of brightness to get my day started, but on other occasions, when I am slowing down in the evening, I prefer a more subdued light. The fact that there are three different color temperature settings, ranging from a warmer glow to a cooler daylight, is another significant advantage. Because of this, the lamp may be used at a variety of periods during the day, and I believe that it plays a significant role in imitating the way the light in nature changes.

Functions are great, turned on looks higher quality
Pros- great size and unique and cool moon/planet looking design. The remote feature is easy to use and has many options. Looks really great when turned on. There is also a touch feature which comes in handy if you lose said remote. The dimmest setting is still pretty bright, brightest setting is very bright. Very light weight. Timer function is convenient too.Cons- came damaged with scrapes scuffs on base, itâs hard to capture in a photo but you can see it to an extent. Looks cheap up close (like styrofoam) and I am a little concerned about cleaning it in the future. When it is turned on it does not look cheap. Chord is a big short, but not problem for where I have mine placed.I am disappointed it came damaged, but I donât want to go through the usually lengthy replacement or return process. A discounted credit back would seem fair, but usually isnât offered as an option. Overall for the price, I recommend this item!
