I bought these for someone that has Parkinsons and has difficulty gripping things. The soft body makes it easier for them to use them. They feel more confident that they won’t drop them. And the weights are less likely to injure someone, damage something, or roll away if they are dropped.The straps help but are too tight for anyone with big hands and they are a bit fussy to adjust.

Work well for physical therapy
I needed some hand weights for wrist and elbow PT. The handstrap is useful since I don’t need to grip very hard and can concentrate on working the forearm muscles. As someone else pointed out, a soft weight won’t hurt as much if I somehow drop it on my foot. Quality seems fine, I’m happy with these.
