Adults Only
Works great on adults and is built to last. Will not read on small children (ie: my 3 year old or my 1 year old). Worth what I paid though and I’m very pleased.

Good Oximeter
Seems accurate enough but response is sometimes a little slow. Also, it is a little thick and bulky, making the use of the neckstrap inconvenient. THIS MADE BY MEDLINE, same brand used in pulmonary doctor’s office.A good choice overall.

Good device, but inaccurate description and frustrating settings
Great pulse oximeter. The product feels high quality, and has a soft rubber silicone exterior that seems very grippy, comfortable, and easy to clean. Everything came in the box as described including batteries. The pulse ox has a number of display outputs and brightness settings. The device displays both bar form and waveform pleth, depending on what you have the display set to.Pros:- Feels high quality- Only requires one AAA battery- Comfortable, easy to clean, silicone- Bright display with numerous display settings- Unique designCons:- Price point. Over twice as expensive as numerous other similar devices.- Brightness setting does not persist. If I set it to maximum brightness and then turn it off, it will turn on at the default (mid-level) brightness next time I turn it on.- Does not turn on automatically when finger is inserted. The description states “this clip sensor automatically takes readings when a finger is inserted.” This is blatantly not true and is one of the reasons I purchased this. It just does not automatically read when a finger is inserted. You have to push the power button, as opposed to other pulse oximeters in the price range which will automatically turn on and read when a finger is inserted.

Much Better than my Plastic One
Dropped my plastic oximeter and after that it never worked right. I’m hard on equipment and so spent several days on-line looking for a meter that did not cost $190 plus and was somewhat protected unlike my old one that is now in the re-cycle bin. There was only one review on this puppy with the negative comment being it might not be as accurate as a medical oximeter but looking at the specs (accuracy) felt that this would not be a problem for my use. I like the multicolored display and ability to choose from six different display configurations. The unit is a bit odd shaped unlike the plastic models but to me, not enough to become bothersome when wearing around the neck using the lanyard that comes in the box. The silicone “boot” for lack of a better definition fits tight and I found that my pinky finger works best as my middle or first finger is just to large for the sensors to find that sweet spot on my finger. The on button does require a purposeful push to activate but that’s good as it is protected from accidental damage. My only concern was the requirement for one battery versus the usual two even though it came with two batteries. I’ll use the batteries delivered with the unit to see how long they last but have Energizer Ultimate Lithium just in case. I’ve only had it for about 3 days but like it based upon the above plus being a tool guy, this just looks functional plus different and I like functional and different. The odd shape may be why more people have not tried this unit but in my opinion, it’s a plus for protection. Last thing, instructions are a lot more detailed than my old meter. They read like a professional piece of equipment and I’ve read a lot of equipment instructions. It came packaged in a box surrounded by foam and delivery was earlier than projected which was a plus because my old meter finally gave out the day this one arrived.Update 5 days later. Paid a visit to the hospital for a follow-up appointment and while there asked the RN if they had a oximeter upon which I could check my meter against. This oximeter was spot on with hers both oxygen and pulse so I have ordered a second one just in case I damage this one. Its like when I get a pair of boots that really feel good I go back and get a second pair. The meter does require the finger to be warm (it will not read when coming in from the cold if the hands are cold) as all oximeters of this type and you have to find the right finger that will work. The RN said never to use the first digit as it is usually callused. Also, the instructions say to clean the windows inside with 70% isopropyl alcohol and a rag but I ended up using a cotton swab. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this meter.

Big and bulky – No returns
Bought this for my mother to replace her old one. This turned out to be too bulky and heavy for her small fingers and now we are unable to return the item.

Delivery of different item
Unfortunately, I had received a different item with a different rate. Moreover, It was non-returnable and I could not refund it. I can review this item, as I do not have it. I wish in the future to have a system to double check the sending purchases before reaching the customers. Such simple mistake have a major influences to deal with merchants.
