Great value
I was at first leary as it was one of the least costly rowing machines. When it arrived I found it was about the most securely packaged item I have ever received. As I unpacked it each piece was very high quality. Assembly took about 30 minutes but everything lined up perfectly.I have only used it a few times but I find it smooth and quiet. The resistance adjustment works easily . It comes set about midway so I turned it way down for a beginner level. Overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase.

Great value
Pretty easy to assemble. Works great for me. I am 5â 10â and 185 pounds and 70 years old. I donât do a super vigorous workout, but I can definitely work hard enough to get my heart rate up and the machine feels very stable. My biggest complaint is that if you put a tablet in the holder, it blocks the screen giving the workout details. So you can either use a tablet or use the screen. If they came up with a different design that fixed that, I would give it 5 stars.

Get Low and Row
Overall this machine is good so far but it’s LOW and I mean basically sitting on the ground low. Unless you’re good at yoga or in shape, it may be rough to get on and up off this thing. Only a couple inches off the ground, literally.

Reboxed
Viewing The Way Some Of The Product Was Wrapped, It Was Reboxed. NOT Brand New From The Factory. Disappointing!!

Mixed bag
Packaging: Packaging is compact and everything is well organized. There is an abundance of internal packing material from wood to styrofoam. Tape is overly used and makes the opening of the package annoying. On one hand, this packaging is bad for the environment, but on the other hand everything is well protected.Instruction and assembly: The instruction are pretty bad. Mostly because the screws are poorly labeled. With that said, the build process is simplistic and can be done without the instructions. Everything fits together well and all the metal parts are robust and well finished.Material Quality: Like I stated earlier, all the metal parts are superb including the screws and washers. The plastic on the other had is as cheap as it can get. Look at the second photo. All the plastic pieces do not fit together well and the molding is subpar. Everything does work though so materials are a net positive.Functionality: This will be different for everyone. My only issue with the rowing machine is the resistance. Even dialed all the way up, this machine has very little resistance. It’s like I am air rowing without the machine it is so light. The degree of resistance from low to high is barely distinguishable. I am a 5’11 average build male so it it is not like I am a body builder. My spouse on the other hand who has a smaller female build likes the resistance. Everything else with the machine is good. It is light weight and sturdy. The seat glides and there are no creaks or wobbles.Summary: Overall this machine is decent. If not for the resistance, I would give this machine a 5, but the resistance is arguably the most important thing. My spouse on the other hand would give this a 4 as she can’t get over the issues with the plastic parts. At $300 I would recommend to a smaller person who doesn’t require much resistance. People looking for a nice range of resistance look elsewhere.

Might work for shorter people, or those with shorter legs, but limited resistance.
Rowing is a great exercise for burning calories, developing better posture and working the core muscles. I ordered this product for my home gym, thinking it would offer more variety in my 5 days per week routine. I especially liked the idea that it was compact and could take up minimal space and that it had a full 16 levels of resistance. There were no reviews when I ordered the product, so I didn’t have any idea what to expect. On arrival the box felt legitimate, items were well packaged, and the item ‘passed the eye test’. When looking more closely however, I had concerns about the thin plastic casing that covered the fan and magnetic plates. From an aesthetic perspective, the case looked more like it was trying to blend with home décor, and not in a good way. Exercise equipment needs racy trim, not opulent brown faux furniture finish. The item took an hour to assemble from someone who is handy and regularly builds things. This was disappointing because the ad suggests it can be assembled in 30 minutes (I assume by an average person). My rowing experience was not good. I am not tall (under 6 feet), but when I sat on the rower I noticed I was ‘bottoming out’ when extending all the way back on the glide rails. I had to raise my feet all the way up in the stirrups before I was able to glide the full distance without ‘banging’ on the stop rail. But once I put my shoes on, I again banged against the backstop. The distance of travel is only 23 inches). The 16 levels of ‘supposed’ resistance were disappointing. The first 10 levels felt like no resistance at all, whereas the upper levels felt like a light to moderate resistance, with no resistance high enough to be a challenge one might look forward to once they progressed. Instead, I had to start off my exercise on the highest resistance and could only move 23 inches until I crashed back into the rail– which might not even be safe. Sadly, I cannot use this item for exercise. Shorter people should be able to glide the full distance, but at 23 inches of movement, will it be enough? Older people who need lighter resistance might do OK with this product, if they do not have long legs. However, I cannot imagine asking an older person on a fixed income to shell out $600 (the price of 2-3 year gym membership for seniors) for something that functioned like a sub-$100 product. My advice to the manufacturer is to please extend the length of travel (guide rails) and amount of resistance. Lastly, I need to revise a comment I made on the video. I unfairly said the rower might not be appropriate for height lower than 5’3″. However, after examining the product again, I think 5’8″ or shorter might be able to travel the full distance (especially if they remove their shoes when rowing, that adds an inch of travel).

I did a bit of research of the rowers to alternate running so I started to investigate different options. Also, I didn’t have any experience with rowing before. This is the option I decided to purchase considering the following:- the price was really tasty- the design looks slick. I usually don’t pay attention to design but you gotta admit it looks slick- a famous rowing youtuber recommended it to people who are 6’8”. I can recommend it for people who are 6’0” for sure and definitely don’t have any issues with it.- resistance level is acceptable. I occasionally use canoes and level 13 felt like the closest to real canoeing. It gives you 3 extra harder options. With level 13, I could use this for ~10 mins max. Just for reference, I can do 15 pull ups and can run for ~15 km. I wish real water resistance was more like level 5 so I can also use this more on a power training but it’s not bad at all. Maybe other reviewers are hardcore gym bros or maybe they got defective units – not sure why there’re so many complaints resistance level.- this machine is very very silent- it’s takes not much space when it’s folded. From the negatives:- No full stroke. Otherwise, this rower would’ve been perfect. You were warned so no need to buy this and put 1 start review. I with the seller would sell an extra 2 feet segment to convert this to a full stroke *wink-wink*. Currently, I’m looking into an DIY option to make this extension.- bar handle is a bit small if you have wider shoulders. I plan to replace it with a 2′ steel pipe.- the resistance regulator came with a small crack. It’s not a big deal because it still works and I’m still debating if I should reach out to support. but, would’ve been nice if it didn’t happenOverall, if you have the right expectations about this rower, I think it would be a nice addition to your home gym. If you wanna do a proper rowing, it’s either a Concept 2 or a some sort of DIY. Keep in mind I’ve had this rower for ~20 days.

Hubby and I are new to rowing machines. We wanted something with a different range of movements than the treadmill, bike, and elliptical. I wasnât sure if I would like it or not BUT itâs great. We are glad we bought it. Itâs a good, basic machine, no problems, easy to use, and itâs a fun addition to our little home gym. Would recommend.

Fairly easy to assemble. Sturdy when set up. Having an app for your phone is nice. Compact size takes up less room and is easy to move and store. Very quiet operation. The handle is a little short, could be wider to isolate the back muscles more. My biggest dislike is there isn’t much resistance, I need to set it to max resistance to really feel much of a work out and I am not in great shape at 5ft 9 and 220lbs. Hence my wanting the machine. It will do for muscle toning, longer sets with more reps per set but if you want to build muscle this isn’t the right device.

Easy to assemble, 30 to 45minutes. Very very low noise. I like it very much

I have been wanting to purchase my own rowing machine for some time now, but have been trying to make sure I get the right one. After a fair amount of research I decided price versus features this is the right one for me. The only issue in the reviews that concerned me is there was some talk about resistance level, and not right for a professional⦠after setting this up and using it for a few weeks, I donât know what they are talking about? I have not encountered a rowing machine at a gym that has noticeably more resistance than this machine, so I would suggest that the individuals making those comments have an issue with their resistance operation. What I like⦠very well made, super smooth, great resistance, great value for price, smart looking, super quiet and smooth operation, and easy to assemble. I don’t really have anything negative to say, but have not tried their connected app yet, but based on what I am seeing from this company, I am going to assume it is just fine. The only thing I can think of that might trip people up is they often depict it with a large screen, and it obviously does not come with this (fairly obvious), but could fool someone if not fully reading the spec.I would buy it again, and recommend it to friendsAfter using it for a while longer now, I have one really small negative⦠the calorie counter does not take into account the resistance level, so you get the same count on level one as level 16, so if I had one suggestion for the company, I would want them to fix this⦠otherwise, I am super happy with it⦠Iâm still too fat, so if they could fix that too, then best company ever! After a few months, I have had a chance to use it a little more, and have tried there connected App. I still think this is an excellent product, and would still recommend it to anyone. It is holding up very well, and as another reviewer stated, it is incredibly quiet, I do think by breathing is louder than the machine! The App is good, not too much to look at, but I would love to see them add a YouTube window to it… Like split screen. You don’t need a whole screen to show you a couple of metrics from your workout. I like to watch rowing videos as I row, just to give me something to look at, and I try to match the rowers stride on screen. I can still do this as I can load YouTube onto my iPad, and connect my phone to the rowing machine, but it would be nice to look at both at once. This is super nit-picky, and is only a suggestion for the company if they are going to add to their app in the future.
