Wrong size, human error, had been returned prior!!
Great brace. Sturdy, well constructed, easy to use, should be very effective! HOWEVER, they sent me the wrong size and this item had been returned before! Bag was taped closed, not sealed and size on bag was marked Medium, but the brace is marked Large!!! I am 3 days away from taking a cruise and newly diagnosed with a pinched nerve of my back. I need the brace, but it is too BIG. I am able to tighten it enough, but it doubles over on itself and is too wide. Contacted seller through 2 different avenues, that they recommended, in writing, but no response in 2 days. I have to return it, but will not arrive in time and WHO KNOWS WHAT SIZE IT WILL BE! I am NOT a happy customer at all! Human error, not garment error!!!!

It’s a great, wide ‘lumbar brace’ & works well for added lumbar support. With my experience of a work accident, heavy equipment cumulative trauma before & after due to Dr. misdiagnoses, (3) four level lumbar fusions, 1 surgery thru side to spine with wedge placed @ L3 for 3″ pelvic tilt correction up on lf. side, T5 thru T10 thoracic spinal nerve cauterizations & literally 1000’s of every therapy imaginable over 2 decades for chronic severe pain, a simple brace of any kind does not relieve pain. It definitely helps support full lumbar & helps to correct spinal posture. My goal thru continued therapy is to relieve pain symptoms, regain strength to FULL spinal & body atrophied muscles & get my life back. I will continue wearing this ‘brace’, as it does what it was intended for, but it does not perform miracles. Ha!

Disappointment and happiness all in one
The knee compression of the pack was great! The back brace didnât fit me at all so I threw it the trash because it was a regular size and I was unaware of this at the time of purchase. Outside of that I had found the first time a back brace of quality but the size was off. So this is why I gave it 3 star rating!

I’m Walking Again
About 30 years ago I had my first sciatica attack. I got off a very long international flight and had severe pain from my back down my right leg. Walking was only acomplished with major pain. Healing took several months. From time to time since then the condition returned. Then about one month ago I was hit again. I went on Amazon and found the Modvel Back Brace. The brace arrived the next day and I put it to use. What a relief. I recently had a 38″ waist but with some diet my waist size is now 33″. I found this large size belt to be a perfect size to fit under my 34″ pants. I had noticed without the belt my pain would shift through the day from manageable to nearly unmanageable. With the belt I stabilized my back and within about 2 weeks I’m able to walk cautiously without the brace. I use it for yard work and times when I expect to be on my feet for any longer period of time. I hope with continued cautious use of the belt I can return to nearly normal activity within the month. Thanks for a GREAT product that has been a very large help in reducing my sciatic nerve pain. I am 70+ years old.

The XL size matched what the Sizing Chart said it would accommodate for waist measurement around navel height. The materials and construction are high quality. Impressed with this product. Feels very supportive and reduced lower back pain while worn. Exactly as expected. Small pad is held on with Velcro and easy to relocate to change where slight pressure is concentrated, or it can be removed entirely. Recommend to buy this if you have lower back pain or weakness.
