Customers say
Customers find the protein powder effective during elimination diets and appreciate its simple, organic ingredients that don’t overpower other flavors. Moreover, the product mixes well with smoothies and is easy on the stomach, with no gas or digestion issues reported. However, the taste receives mixed feedback, with some finding it palatable while others say it tastes like nothing, and opinions on value are divided between those who find it reasonably priced and those who consider it not worth the cost. The texture also gets mixed reviews, with some describing it as smooth while others find it grainy.

Extensive research, stomach and heart disability, best on the market
FODMAP approved. I have food allergies and a heart disability that calls for careful choices and research before consuming something. I drink this every morning (did lots of research and consulted with my gastro and it’s the best on the market) I usually have a backup and buy the smaller amount for freshness so when I went to reorder I was shocked to see it’s no longer available. Rd customer service. Jessica was awesome and they’re not sure it’ll come back but I was assured it was not pulled off the shelves due to contamination (I was hospitalized after using another brand and they had to pull it off the shelves to investigate). Please bring back soon! I’ll order a few lol. Running lower and lower on the one I have but instead of ordering another kind I’m waiting till I must order more protien powder checking in daily to see if this is back yet. Could be less expensive but worth it considering it’s pretty much keeping me alive. That’s priceless. I’ve tried diff brown rice protien powders for over a decade and this is hands down best I’ve had. It is heads above other powders as it is fresh and has a high balance of nutrients and Omega profile. My weight goes up and down so I need that good fat to help with skin elasticity. I am in process of becoming a certified dietitian. So much research. It is the next obvious step. Please bring this product back soon! Happy clean eating! (Update -when it was first return to Amazon there was only a 5 lb available so I immediately ordered it. I’m so glad I did had no idea what was to come in these uncertain times but as long as I had my protein I felt confident and comfortable but I wouldn’t starve. I also have noticed that many people have said it has a cardboard grimy taste. That may be true if you haven’t been trying plain brown rice protein for 10 years now. It’s absolutely normal for it to have that tastes and usually indicates that it is fresh. However this particular protein blends so well into liquids that I don’t feel the need to put milk into them or almond milk or any kind of flavoring actually. I put mine in 12 oz of cold coffee and it makes it so creamy I don’t need any kind of flavoring or cream to make it enjoyable. now the only thing I have to worry about is not chugging it too fast because it’s so amazingly good. I highly recommend choosing your favorite coffee and saving enough for a shake the next day and you using that as your liquid for your protein powder. Not many people have heard of that but I’ve discovered that it is a very low-maintenance and fun way to consume this powder 🙂 choose was a fun coffee flavor! but you must shake it for one minute I make Google time me and I shake that thing up until it’s nice and creamy and I wake up looking forward to drinking this everyday. Now I am subscribed and saving at 5 lb containers when I wasn’t sure before it was only buying one pound containers. I know this is the best on the market please do not let comments about it’s tasting dry or like cardboard turn you off. There are ways to get around this and I used to think it was a bad thing but it turns out it just means it’s fresh and that’s a very good thing 🙂 )

Good for sensitive stomachs
This protein powder mixed well in smoothies and really has no taste of its own. It was recommended to me as being good for IBS as there are no high FODMAP ingredients, only organic brown rice. The only thing that was a little deceptive is that the canister is pretty large but is really only half way full. So it looks like youâre getting more than you really are.

Good to mash up om sweet fruit or veggie
Good protein supplement during elimination diet. Very fine powder, a little bland taste, good mash up with banana, carrots or sweet potato

Too good to be true? That certainly might be the case.
So I don’t really review things on amazon, but I feel that this product merits some time in writing in actual review apart from what others have written. To begin with, this is without a doubt a great tasting protein; i’m quite surprised for the fact that as a plain plant based protein, it does not taste like crap. Financially speaking, this is a cheap product when one accounts for the cost/lb and the amount of protein that you get per serving along with it being an “organic” product, and when you spread that across many other kinds of protein strands available on Amazon you’ll see that this is a good deal to be had especially when one sees that the market is more or less homogeneous for protein in general.I went ahead and bought this product from Naked along with their chocpb and casein which I felt were a great deal and I was pretty hyped to get my hands on this based on all the stellar reviews that were here on amazon.Shortly after, I out of my own curiosity went ahead and did a bit of research on plant based protein and was somewhat alarmed by some reviews and some sources stating that contaminates that could possibly be prevalent in plant based proteins just like this one. Though then again, there isn’t much research out their to warrant this being the case (along with everyone’s opinion on the matter which is quite open-ended), however what really caught my attention was in which this product is being marketed as an organic product. The reason that this alarmed me is because when I went on the USDA’s organic integrity database, I tried to search up this company where their name didn’t pop up anywhere in their database. I then went to CCOF’s website (the agency Naked claims to have been certified organic from) and searched their registry for this company and nothing popped up.It is at this point in which I was dumbfounded as to how something like this could have happened. I then emailed Naked and asked them who they were doing business as to verify that this product truly is organic in which they told me that they are labeling their product as organic based upon their co-packer, meaning that this product (from whoever the third party manufacture is) supposedly has registration with CCOF as being certified organic. Private labeling isn’t a problem, and heck, if that means that I can get protein much cheaper i’m all for it. The only problem is that Naked told me that they don’t provide the name of who their supposed co-packer might be which to me sounds highly suspicious and concerns my own well-being as to if I should be taking this in the first place. I mean I can understand if you as a company don’t want to provide the name of your third party manufacture so that your competition finds out in regards to your strategy (which is pretty reasonable when one looks at how fragmented the market is), but not being transparent to that point gives benefit of the doubt to many things they are claiming.Surely it was my own sheer ignorance that I did not do my due diligence before buying their products, but I think that those who are going to go ahead and purchase their products ought to think twice: They label their product as organic when their name doesn’t pop-up in any data base (in which they claim that their product being organic is a fraudulent claim in itself), they state that their product is “HEAVY METALS AND MELAMINE TESTED: Our Naked Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein is independently tested by third-parties for heavy metals and is melamine free” (which is pretty much contradictory since they are privately labeling a product that clearly isn’t manufactured by them, so what claim back’s this up?), lastly, on their 5lb product they use seals to label that this product is organic but why not on their 1/lb product?I had a lot of hopes for this company and this product as the exact value proposition of what this product claims to be when its not what it is.”Naked Rice: Premium Organic Brown Rice With Nothing To Hide” ought to be more like “Naked Rice: Premium Organic Brown Rice With Many Things To Hide”Caveat Emptor……

This protein powder is great. Has no taste and isn’t gritty as some protein powders I’ve had. I have read the comments of people saying it’s gritty but I feel that’s only because they have been consuming products where it dissolves with additives. I was taking coconut protein powder prior to this one and I tell you THAT is gritty! I love that it doesn’t have a bunch of added stuff in it as well. It’s really hard to find protein powders that I can consume since I am allergic to whey, spinach and added thickeners and fake sugars don’t agree with me. Yay for Naked Rice! Only down side I noticed was that it said it was 75 servings. I know my servings were on the larger side, but it didn’t last me to 60 even.

It has good taste, no too sweet, so …ððð

Great product, container is way to big, it’s barely half full. Really wasting a lot of plastic.
MARGO B –
Nutty flavor and slightly gritty, low sodium. I recommend to anyone with a lactose intolerance.

Its grainy texture and taste is not something I really like.. I made a smoothie with banana and pineapple and it just overwhelms the whole taste. and it needs 2scoops compared to Whey protein products. Not worth the money Iâd say.
