FINALLY, one that WORKS!!!
Hooray!!!! I am soooooo thrilled to finally find a non toxic, aluminum free deodorant!For the past 2 decades, I’ve tried pretty much ‘all’ the major healthy aluminum free and not anyone of them worked for me with stopping odor.Used this for a week or more now and have experienced ziltch odor!! If anything changes after my trip to the Caribbean where it’s more humid and hot, I will update this post.I am THRILLED to finally have found one and I recommend it to others!Jun 20 Edit for continuation:I’m back from the Caribbean and it was 102-104 w heat index …VERY humid and happy to report this deodorant worked!! Effective but does need warming up before applying. It’s firm and tacky, and will remove armpit hairs when applying.

If the tea tree smell gives you a headache then donât use it!
I bought this because it was ewg certified and when I first used it I thought it had a strong smell and at first it gave me a headache to use it. I pushed through it and got used to the smell and used the tea tree one for several months and didnât have anymore headaches. However, I started having pretty severe vertigo everyday for several weeks when I just happened to find out that if youâre exposed to tea tree oil for too long that it can cause headaches, vertigo and other problems. I stopped using it immediately and all my issues went away almost immediately. So long story short, if you get headaches from the smell, itâs best to just throw it away and find a different deodorant.

I love this brand SO much and thought that returning to the stick (instead of their small pots that you apply by hand) would be nice to try again – especially for travel – and I had also read that they last longer therefore being more cost effective. As someone on a fixed income, this is really important to me ….but alas, I am way too sensitive to something in this product. My armpits turned bright red and were super itchy by the second day – and after I stopped using it took about 4 days to go back to normal. Going back to their small pots version which is TRULY fantastic! REALLY works, and once you get used to it, applying by hand is actually kinda cool – you get it exactly where you want it and don’t get more than the thin layer you need. Great company – and really great products – but this one had something in it quite irritating.

Caused Rash and Cyst
Smells really good but after using for about a week, it caused me to develop a small cyst under one of my armpits. Also caused my armpits to be very itchy. Wonât buy again.

Previously, I used Speed Stick or some other big brand depending on price at the time my old deodorant would be close to finishing. However, my wife and her friend were talking about natural deodorants a few months back and her friend was saying something about her husband’s friend being diagnosed with cancer under his armpits (I didn’t realize that was possible). Thankfully, he beat the cancer, but mentioned something about not being able to use deodorant during treatment and couldn’t wait to start using deodorant again. My wife’s friend was like “Are you nuts?”. This guy was apparently surprised and asked meekly, “So, I shouldn’t use brand name deodorants?”. Wife’s friend answered with a “Duh!”.So what does this story have to do with this product? Well, apparently, the big brands are loaded with cancer causing chemicals.My wife did some research and purchased another of Purelygreat’s deodorants. However, I saw that process of stirring a stick in a jar before applying the deodorant confusing. So instead, she recommended I get this instead. According to her, this deodorant passed some skin care database or something.Frankly, I didn’t understand what she meant, but not wanting to drag out the conversation about deodorant while not wanting to put harmful chemicals on my armpits, I bought one of these. It looks like the regular deodorant sticks I normally use. I’m good with that.First thing. I don’t smell sweaty during the day. I’ve checked a few times when I felt sweaty especially during the plus 30 degree days we’ve been having. I don’t smell like a guy in the middle of a 10k.Second thing. I like the smell of tea tree. It’s been a while since I’ve used tea tree products. It’s nice.Third thing. This deodorant doesn’t go on dry. However, it’s not the wet and sloppy one either. It’s more in between. I’ve used both in the past. I don’t have a preference. It’s something to keep in mind if you like dry deodorant (where you can touch it and snap your fingers immediately) or wet deodorant (where you touch it, try to snap your fingers, and send deodorant gel flying in someone’s face).Overall, I like this deodorant.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. This is the best deodorant Iâve ever tried in my entire life, natural or chemical. It smells divine, itâs a joy to apply, I wore it for 2 days without showering with no stink. I ran 10k in full winter gear, no stink. Iâve never tried anything like it before.The little tub version (with the finger application) is even more efficient at stink control and works for longer, but I prefer a hands free application.I was a rebel and applied if after shaving my underarms and that was good too (Iâve had some laser hair removal so my hair is soft, maybe thatâs why I didnât get irritation).No white marks on my clothing, no build-up on my tee shirt. I wish I had this on my trip island hopping in the Philippines.My friend gave this to me to try, I didnât believe her. Then I tried it, loved it, and bought 5 more packs for my friends. They couldnât believe it either.This shhht is fantastic. Iâm never using another deodorant again! This is the best !

I had previously been using the cream form by Purelygreat, which I had added vegetable glycerin and bentonite clay to, to dilute the baking soda. It worked great to detox my pits and get used to the baking soda in the deodorant.I wanted to try out the stick version, but was initially skeptical because I had tried many other brands that weren’t as effective. I had tried Green Beaver deodorant, which I found to be too sticky, and Schmidt’s which I found too waxy (it left waxy buildup on my clothes). I’m glad to say that the Purelygreat stick leaves no residue on my clothes. In minimal activity, I can go almost 2 days with no stink and no reapplication. Super happy with this productThe baking soda might be an issue for sensitive skin but if you can get used to a diluted form like I did with the cream version, you can build up your tolerance.

This product is non toxic regarding its no artificial fragrance or any harmful chemicals but it is not a deodorant made for sweaty girls if you know what I mean! Itâs mostly like a little coverup when youâre on the go and donât have your effective one on hand!
