A number of manufacturers make only one or two formulations of Omega 3 fish oil, but Nordic Naturals has a several different formulations so you can get precisely the ratios of EPA to DHA that you need. Before buying any fish oil, you should do the research to determine what ratios are the best for your particular needs.I have used Nordic Naturals Omega 3 products for years, and when my doctor recommended that I increase the percentage of EPA, this product was the perfect option as it has the exact amount of EPA that I need, while only adding a relatively small amount of DHA.I got started using Nordic Naturals because they are very specific about the steps that they take to ensure purity of the product. Because of the ever-increasing level of toxins found in ocean fish, mercury in particular, it is critical to select a product that is made from fish caught in the cleanest waters possible, and that the end product be tested for purity. Nordic Naturals does both, and actually uses a third-party lab to test their products to ensure that they are not contaminated with heavy metals or other toxins.I have only tried one other brand of fish oil over the years, and it gave me the “fish burps”; very unpleasant. Very High Quality Product
I love these because they are very high in Omega 3’s and lower in Omega 6’s. I give these to my dog. I take a needle and poke the outside of a capsule and slowly squeeze out a few drops per day. He has three legs and so needs a high quality fish oil – such as this. The ingredients are dog safe, from the information I found on Google. I would say this product is the highest quality of all fish oils. I have bought this product probably one hundred times and eat time I have had fantastic results. One time I got a bottle that was rancid. But, if you make sure the item isn’t stuck up in the bottle and doesn’t smell rancid – you are good to go. I think this product is so high quality, I continue to buy from them anyways!

Tastes Fishy
Because I don’t eat Fish, my body was in need of Omega 3. I used to take a Rx but it was expensive, so my doctor recommended Nordic Naturals EPA Xtra, Lemon soft gels. I tried it for a while and didn’t like the fishy taste. Also, when I put the pills in my hand just before swallowing them, my hand smelled fishy even after a brief moment of handling the pill. The fishy smell is hard to get rid of even after several hand washings. I have no choice since I dislike fishy taste and smell so i must go back to the prescription. I’m sure it’s a good product if you don’t mind the fish smell/taste.

Pills all clumped together and covered in oil, few split open. The pills are rancid and not sure if the bottle is tampered with. This occurred with 2 of 3 last purchases, per my experience will not recommend
