Works as advertised
Okay, full honestyâIâm not the most graceful person. Iâm always bumping into stuff or accidentally nicking myself in the kitchen, and band-aids are basically a permanent fixture in my life. So when I saw Rapid-Seal Wound Gel, I figured it was worth a try. And wow, Iâm so glad I did.Just a few days after it arrived, I cut my finger pretty badly slicing a tomato. Not deep enough for the ER, but definitely deep enough to bleed⦠a lot. I cleaned it up, put a dab of this gel on it, and I kid you notâit stopped bleeding almost instantly. It formed this light, clear seal over the cut, and I didnât even need a bandage after a few minutes.It also didnât sting going on (which I was kind of expecting), and it seemed to keep the area clean and protected. Iâve used it a couple more times sinceâonce on a scraped knuckle and once on my kidâs knee after a playground fall. Gave 4 stars, that may be slightly gererous? difficult to say due to circumstances. I am on blood thinners so that is the reason for the purchase, cuts while shaving. For me, it does not stop bleeding in seconds or minuits, it does take a while applying and covering with bandaid BUT I must say, it DOES stop the bleeding much faster than it would on its own. Will/do continue to use and will purchase again when I run out.

This really works!
Iâm a retired RN living in a senior apartment building. I have a fully stocked first aid kit to help my friends and neighbors. I saw this item on Amazon (it was new to me) and thought it would be good to have. Someone who was on a blood thinner came to me with a fairly small laceration that wouldnât stop bleeding. This product worked very well. Will always have it on hand.

Stops the bleeding and doesnât burn
This really does stop bleeding. We just got a second tube to keep in our hiking first aid kit. Very useful if you have littles! Because it doesnât burn. And my sonâs hand are constantly dirty, he picks everything up, he eats with his hands. He needs to be able to get back to life when he gets a boo boo. His band aids often fall off so at least if I can seal a sound heâs a little better off.

Doesnât work like expected
After cutting my finger (again) while doing something stupid; I tried this product and it just slid off with the blood. Even after drying my finger and reapplying – it did nothing to stop the bleeding. I figure with the cut being on my finger that could have the issue. I will try again.

Buy two while you’re at it!
HIGHLY recommend this for folks who take BLOOD THINNERS, or otherwise prone to bleed a lot when injured.I have also used it on my four dogs. I keep it in my first aid kit, which goes with me on the road.Recently I restocked my first aid kit with larger non adhesive bandages and the good kind of tape to hold them in place. This ointment is indespensible for that purpose. It does not take much, but perhaps having a second one handy would be a good idea.
