    Red Light Reading Light
If you’re light sensitive and/or have trouble falling or staying asleep, get one of these lights! It’s pretty basic and not high-end, but it sure does create a relaxing ambiance in my bedroom as I wind down at night. I was really surprised that I was able to read with just this red light on. Assumed it would be difficult to see small print in the dimmer light, but I really had no trouble at all. The clamp isn’t huge but it is big enough to clamp on the windowsill behind my headboard. The arm is very flexible and can be bent/turned any direction needed, then holds its place reasonably well. I don’t know how long it will last, but for the price, I don’t care if I need to buy another every couple years. Really pleased with this!

Nice useful lamp, but a few things could be better
Overall, I really like this product, though maybe a few minor things could be better. The clamp is quite useful for attaching this light to various surfaces, but I wish it was able to stand a little better on its own when no clampable surfaces are available. It’s a little on the light (weight) side, and the gooseneck/lamp makes it want to fall over easily. As long as you have a place to clamp it, then you are good.I like that it has both red light and warm white options, and the light that comes out of those are nice and soft, not harsh. The controls for turning it on and changing modes could be better. There is a side switch for simple power on/off, and that is convenient, but one button essentially controls all these functions:1) first click – on red light.2) if you hold down that same button, red gets brighter (stepless), press it and hold again for dimmer.3) click again and it changes to warm white (could be a shock to your eyes if you are in a dark room and you just had it on red).4) then brighter or dimmer again5) click again to shut off, next click repeats these steps 1-5Because one of the intended uses is in a bedroom at night, I feel like this control/order of operations could have been better thought out. Basically from red, to turn it off with the one control button, you have to turn it to warm white before you can shut it off (by that same button). Going from a dark room with a dim red light to a brighter warm white before you can shut it off is not convenient, and might disturb someone who is sleeping. The auto-shutoff is a nice feature, especially if you are using this around bed time. However, the default 4 hours seems quite long, and considering that there’s only one main button for most of the other functions, it seems odd that they included a separate button for 2 hour shutoff, and another for 3 hour shutoff. Why not 1 hour? How about one button for auto shut off, and number of presses might select length of time? Then have separate buttons for red vs white light? At least, that’s what I would have considered had I designed this.So this lamp is wireless, with a built-in rechargeable battery. The included charging cord is like 6 inches long. That seems a bit short to me. But I guess you can always replace it with your own cord. It would have been nice to include the charging plug too, especially considering the price.Overall, despite a few head scratchers on the design and features/functions list, this is a decent product, that I expect to get some good use out of it. I would like it a lot better if it included more of the options/controls I listed, or if the price point was lower. 4 out of 5 stars.

Easy to use, but the clip may prevent you from using it in bed
This little lamp is very easy to use. Simply press the power button to toggle between red light, white light, and off. To adjust the brightness, hold your finger on the power button. You can also set a 2 or 3 hour timer, which would be great if you’re using this to fall asleep. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to secure the clip to anything, so I can’t use it for reading or the red light sleep function. The clip is fairly large, but I wasn’t able to get it to grip securely onto any of the several different pillows I tried, and it’s not possible to secure it to my headboard.Although I can’t use the light in my bedroom as intended, it’s a great addition to my home office. I don’t need to clip it to anything, just point the light away from my face and directly at the document. It’s small enough that you could take it with you if needed. If I had been able to use this in my bedroom as intended, I would have rated it higher. I wouldn’t have gotten this specifically for my office since I don’t find a giant clip for a base aesthetically pleasing. There are plenty of lights out there in the same price range that do the same thing (minus the red light function) that look much nicer.

    nice!
Really lovely to keep on my headboard. The red light is great to turn on when my husband isn’t in bed yet and I want to leave a light on. it doesn’t bother me at all and I can fall asleep super easily.

Good little red light reading lamp despite a few drawbacks
I’ve always heard the benefits of filtering blue light and using red light before bed, so decided to give this a try as a reading lamp. While I can’t comment on the benefits of red light, the lamp itself is good, despite a few design drawbacks, and has a red light mode, which is most than more reading lights.Pros: It’s got a long lasting battery, and is easy to clip on anywhere. It’s easy to use, with one big capacitate button and two bed timer buttons. The red light is bright enough for use but not too bright, and the warm white light is nice as well.Cons: The wire connecting the lamp to be base is a bit thin and doesn’t do the best at holding it up. I’ve had it droop down in use where I would have to readjust it until it stayed. Seems like it only is a problem if I bend it from the base, so there’s something going on with where it attaches.Secondly, don’t love the button layout. When you use the power button, it always cycles between red, white, off. So if you have been using red, and are ready to go to bed, you hit the power button, and get hit with white light. Seems counterproductive. I don’t see the purpose of both a 2 hour and 3 hour bedtime mode on separate buttons, so I feel a color change button would be a whole lot more important. And while the capacitive buttons work, I feel like actual buttons would be a lot easier to use, especially at night, considering it’s a bedtime light.Overall, not my favorite lamp, but it’s my favorite lamp, and my only lamp, that has a red light. So overall, I’m satisfied.
