Great value, black mask is excellent but pink one lets some light through
I’ve tried a lot of these sleep masks and I’ve been really liking the black mask of this set. I’m not sure why, but I found the black one originally to block out much more light than the pink one. Then I accidentally put the pink one in the dryer (after machine washing it in a net bag), which turned out to be a good thing because it survived both the washer and dryer well, and shrunk to now fit me the same as the black mask. But in the morning, the light shines through the pink one a little more though – so while it prevents the room from being bright, it doesn’t make everything totally dark either. The black sleep mask is about 98-99% light blocking for me, which is as good as I’ve ever gotten! I love that they’re both super light weight so they don’t make this middle aged hot sleeper any hotter. I find that most of these sleep masks either aren’t adjustable, or if they are, then they’re difficult to adjust. But these masks are easily adjustable to get a perfect fit. I find they’re comfortable with their silky side against my face, and at the current price of under six dollars, it’s a great value for two sleep masks in a nice gift box.

This light mask is something I might expect to get for free on a really long flight only to throw out when I get where I’m going. It isn’t really comfortable, there isn’t much foam but it does block some light. I would look elsewhere for a long term solution.

Soft sleep masks
These black & pink silk sleep masks are soft against the skin.The pink one, in particular, is NOT a blackout mask. It lowers the amount of light significantly. But if you open your eyes you can still see light coming thru the fabric. This is not necessarily bad. Sometimes you don’t always want 100% blackout, just enough dimmness sufficient for sleep.The black one is Almost a blackout mask, but, it will not prevent Very bright light coming thru the fabric slightly.The fabric is very soft. I have to loosen the strap all the way; otherwise the strap pulls the mask to put direct pressure directly on my eyeballs. However with the strap entirely loosened, it is quite comfortable.These are the sleep masks i will reach for when i only want about an hour’s sleep or so. For me, dim-but-not-blackout, and a very loose, easily dislodged eye covering, are exactly what I want for a Nap. For me, these will not work for all-night sleeping, but they will be perfect for a nap.(Also they are small & lightweight. These are definitely the eye masks I would take for travel by plane, or even train or bus.)
